If you’re a frequent flyer then you might want to listen out for a code word that could mean a flight attendant has a secret crush on you – and you might get their number

Ever wondered if flight attendants gossip about passengers mid-flight?

Well, there’s a certain phrase you might want to keep an ear out for. Two cabin crew members spilled the beans on their profession’s secrets to eShores – and one anonymous attendant confirmed that they do indeed chat about passengers while on board.

If you hear them mention ‘Bob’, it’s actually a covert acronym for ‘babe on board’. And when you’re leaving the plane, if the flight attendant bids you ‘cheerio’, it could be a secret sign they’ve taken a fancy to you.

The anonymous insider revealed: “We always run back to the galley and let the rest of the crew know where the sexy passenger is sitting, we will be extra nice to them and give them freebies. I can confirm phone numbers have definitely been written on napkins!”

And if you manage to score a flight attendant’s number, the party doesn’t have to stop there.

The source added: “Airline crew love partying with their passengers, especially in Vegas. Numbers are always exchanged on a flight so be brave and ask a flight attendant out, because they may just say yes and know the best spots to go!”

Another top tip for flights is to bring your own snacks.

Kamila Jakubjakova, a flight attendant with over three years of experience, shared: “Due to different air pressure and dry air inside the airplane, our sense of smell reduces roughly by 20 percent, and so does the sensitivity of our taste buds, making the food taste blander.

“Therefore, the aircraft food is often oversalted. For this reason, I prefer to bring my own snacks when I fly.”
