Warnings against travelling to certain countries have been announced by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to British nationals.
The world is a large place, and many of us want to explore as much as we can. But, there’s a whole host of countries Brits are advised to avoid, according to the government.
There are various factors as to why these destinations are currently unsafe to travel, such as ongoing conflicts, security threats, health risks, extreme weather conditions, or political instability. The FCDO has issued multiple warnings, including advice against “all travel” and “all but essential travel” to specific destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. Currently, 71 countries have been flagged as no-go zones.
However, the decision ultimately lies with the traveller. It is important to note that travelling against FCDO advice may invalidate travel insurance and limit consular support in the event of an emergency. Any location that poses a risk to your health and safety should be reconsidered. Therefore, you might want to think twice before booking your next holiday.
