The discount comes just in time for Halloween and Christmas and shoppers don’t have to pay the usual price

Amazon has a limited time offer that’s sure to tempt anyone who loves Quality Street chocolates. Just in time for Christmas, shoppers can stock up with a ‘bulk box’ for £18 that has dozens of the classic chocolates people have fallen in love with over the years.

Weighting 2.1kg (2,100g), the Quality Street Assorted Chocolates Bulk Sharing Pack is deemed “a great solution for parties and events”. It would also be handy to claim now, whilst reduced from £25.99, and stash away (if you can resist) until December.

Shoppers who want to match this level of chocolate would need to pick up four of the 600g tubs in the supermarket, currently costing about £6 each at the likes of Asda, Tesco and Morrisons. This would give you a bit more chocolate (300g) than the box but it would cost you £24 overall.

The deal, which runs out on October 9, is part of Amazon’s Big Deal Day. It works just like previous Prime Day sales, offering members exclusive discounts on thousands of products.

The box contains the classic Quality Street chocolates – including “The Purple One”, “The Green Triangle”, the Toffee Finger, Strawberry Delight, Orange Chocolate Crunch and Toffee Penny amongst others. The box does not contain the Coffee Crème which is exclusive to the Pick and Mix stations that pop up in John Lewis stores in the lead up to Christmas.

Shoppers were full of praise for the bargain, sharing their reviews on Amazon for others to see. One said: “Excellent quality good even selection of all of all your favourite chocolate.”

Another added: “Amazing for the price. The chocolates are in separate bags which is handy if you want to gift them. They arrive in a box instead of having the plastic tub.”

A third said: “Your typical Quality Street collection, just a lot bigger. Quality Street chocolates is the closest you’ll get to heaven on Earth so this was well received!”

However, some shoppers faced issues, including those that claimed that their boxes arrived with “short dates”. One claimed: “Bought mine in September planning to put away but I’ve only git till October to finish them!”

Another claimed that their chocolates came and were “rock hard”. A third alleged their sweets had a “weird taste” and “not like you’d expect from Quality Street”.

Similar bulk boxes are available for other Christmas classics via Amazon. Shoppers can snap up a 2.4kg box of Celebrations for £28 and a huge 2kg box of Heroes costs £20.89.

Other chocolates come in bulk packs too – ideal for holding onto ahead of Christmas parties or gifting to a sweet treat super fan. Another option could be 1kg bag filled with Lindt Milk Chocolate Truffles (which works out to 80 balls a bag) for £19.95.

Amazon’s Big Deal Days ends at midnight tonight (October 9). You can browse the entire range of offers on the website here.
