Boys World, a girl group, announced that they are breaking up after five year of being together. They made the announcement through a TikTok video and were all in tears

Girl group Boys World have announced that they are breaking up.

The girl group announced on Friday through a TikTok video that they’re breaking up after five years of being together and they thanked their STARS, the name of their fanbase. Boys World was founded in 2019 with the intention of becoming an anagram for the phrase “best of yourself.” Each member was found on social media.

In the two and a half minute video, Olivia Ruby started by saying: “What we’re about to say is very hard for us to wrap our heads around but after five beautiful, unforgettable years, we are disbanding.”

Lillian Kay said: “We’ve created so many beautiful memories, and we are so grateful for everything we’ve accomplished together. Most of all, we’re grateful that it’s been with each other and after everything, we still have each other, and that’s the most important part.”

Each girl had the opportunity to say something to their fans about the news. Makhyli Simpson highlights their dreams coming true and being blessed to have traveled around the country to perform the group’s music. She made sure to tell their fans that they were the best part of this journey and being able to meet them.

Queenie Mae Villaluz noted that they “are filled with many emotions.” She added: “F–k, it’s sad. We’re all really f—ing sad about this. Obviously, for the past five years, it’s always just been each other. We have went through so much in this group, and I can’t even imagine dealing with everything we went through without these girls. I’m so, so thankful for them.”

She continued: “Change is really, really scary and uncomfortable for not just us, anyone out there. Especially when this has been our whole world for the past five years but we are really excited to figure out what it is that we each individually want to pursue after this. We really hope you guys continue to support us individually.”

Elana Caceres concluded the video, thanking STARS for their support and how it was a privilege and honor to share their music and friendship.

Fans were confused and sad about the sudden news. One person commented: “I need an explanation because literally what.” Another wrote: “Disbanding before an actual album is WILD.” A third person wrote: “I’m so upset bc I feel like you guys were finally finding your sound as a group. I wish y’all nothing but the best for the future.” A fourth wrote: “an amazing 5 years that we will cherish FOREVER. I love my girls and I love you all. Thank you for everything.”
