Rihanna has been announced as a likely star to headline Glastonbury 2025, and you’re still in with a chance of grabbing tickets in the upcoming resale
Glastonbury Festival tickets first went on sale in November, but those who weren’t lucky enough to snap some up have a second chance coming up very soon.
The legendary festival is taking place on the 25th-29th June, staged at Worthy Farm as always. Every Spring – usually around April – Glasto will put resale tickets up for grabs, from people who’ve had to cancel or didn’t commit to their payment plan. As long as you’ve already pre-registered your details with the site, you’re in with a chance of getting the biggest tickets of the summer.
When will Glastonbury resale tickets go on sale?
The tickets will go up on Glastonbury’s official SeeTickets, with the festival stressing that you shouldn’t buy them on any other platform in case you get scammed or aren’t allowed in at the gates – they have to be under your registration and photo ID.
Unfortunately, the resale tickets use the same process as the first wave of sales, meaning you have to be primed and ready to queue to be in with a chance of getting lucky. They’re also the same high price as during the first sale, costing £373.50 plus a £5 booking fee, alongside postage and packing at £10.25 per order.
Who is playing at Glastonbury 2025?
The full Glastonbury lineup hasn’t been released yet, but over the last couple of years it’s come out in March, meaning we could be just days away from the grand reveal. Despite the lack of full info, though, some acts have already been confirmed.
Sir Rod Stewart will definitely perform the Sunday teatime legend slot, with Nile Rodgers also confirmed – and rumours suggest that Ronnie Wood might join his pal Sir Rod on stage. Neil Young has also confirmed that he’ll be performing with his live band, The Chrome Hearts.
One major headliner who people think is likely to take to Worthy Farm for the first time is Rihanna. The Telegraph reports that “pieces are falling into place” for her to headline ahead of a potential residency at London Stadium in early July.
There has long been speculation of Rihanna potentially headlining Glastonbury over the years. It was reported in August last year that the prospect was “back on the table” amid rumours at the time that she was preparing to release a new album and planning to embark on a tour this year.
Sources also claim that Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo and Charli XCX have all also been signed up to perform at the festival in June. An insider said: “Charli will headline The Other Stage and Chappell will be playing the Pyramid Stage.”
The 1975 are also tipped for headline slots on the Pyramid Stage, with some fans guessing that Stranger Things star Joe Keery – who performs under the name Djo – will show off his musical talents at the festival.
Clever fans have also speculated that Tom Misch will head to Glasto, after he revealed recently that he will release his fourth album just in time for the event. Similarly, fans noticed that electronic duo Basement Jaxx – consisting of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe – have a gap in their tour schedule between their gig in Dublin on June 25 and a concert in Exeter on July 4 next year – and think that the gap has been left to fit in perfectly with the Glastonbury dates.
