Gogglebox: Izzi shows Ellie her Valentine’s Day card
Gogglebox star Izzi Warner has gone public with her new man – and revealed he is the ‘perfect’ partner.
The 31-year-old let slip her other half’s name during an episode of the hit Channel 4 show as she chatted with sister Ellie, 34. It comes after she shared photos of the mystery man on her Instagram with her 412,000 followers, but until now fans didn’t know who he was.
During Friday night’s show, Izzi shared her new beau’s name is Toby as she excitedly told big sister Ellie: “Wait till you see what Toby got me for Valentine’s – a card in a box!’ Ellie then read the card out loud.
It said: “To Izzi, our first of many. Thank you for being the absolute best. I bloody adore you. Happy Valentines Day. I love you loads and lots more. Toby.” As a clearly loved up Izzi hugged the card to her chest, she asked Ellie: “How sick are you feeling now?”
Her sister, who has been dating boyfriend Nat for five years and shares son Ezra with him, joked: “I need to take a picture so I can send it to Nat so he can cringe. I mean I would love for Nat to write that for me but he’d [shudder].”
Izzi shocked viewers in October last year when she dropped the bombshell she had split from her boyfriend of 10 years, Grant, who she shares son Bobby, 10, and five-year-old daughter Bessie Rose with.
And what was even more shocking is she’d kept it a secret for 18 months. Viewers only found out the mortgage advisor was single again after she shared her ‘ideal man’ criteria with Ellie, which she dubbed her ‘Mary Poppins’ list.
She said: “My partner who is practically perfect in every way, do you want to hear it? It’s quite extensive. I’ve separated it into essentials and nice-to-haves.
“So on the essentials we’ve got: hardworking, open-minded, kind, attractive, good with money, clean criminal record, zero drugs police/no drink problem, emotional intelligence, full head of hair, patient, discreet, loyal, supports my hobbies, wants to be my plus one. And then nice to haves: nice teeth, nice car, generous, good style, taller than me, cooks nice dinners. So hence why I’ve been single for the last 18 months.”
In December, she shared a photo dump from her 31st birthday and captioned the post: “Had the best time birthday-ing in Paris.” In one photo, Izzi is stood at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower with Toby. Another shows them dressed up for a night out next to two huge Christmas trees. In a short video clip, the pair are seen clinking glasses as they sip champagne.
One eagle-eyed fan asked: “New boyfriend?” Another posted: “Who’s the new man?” Izzi also included a picture of the same man in her 2024 highlights reel and wrote in the caption: “2024 was certainly one to remember for all the right reasons. Here’s to making more memories with all my favourite people in 2025 wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year xx’
