The breakaway golf league has announced two new venues for their 2025 schedule, which will see them head to South Korea for the first time in the league’s short history
The LIV Golf series is set to thrill fans with two new venues in 2025 announcing events for South Korea and Indianapolis. Breaking into Asia for the first time, LIV will showcase its elite golfing action at South Korea’s Jack Nicklaus Golf Club, which has recently hosted the DP World Tour’s Genesis Championship.
The growth spurt hasn’t gone unnoticed by league CEO Greg Norman who excitedly remarked: “LIV Golf is growing across the globe in new and returning markets, and our 2025 schedule is a testament to. Bringing LIV Golf to South Korea is another significant milestone as we continue to expand throughout Asia, and our inaugural event in Indy will be a perfect match for a community steeped in sports history and tradition.”
Norman, renowned for shaping men’s pro-golf’s global footprint, touts the leap into South Korea as a clear illustration of their pioneering spirit. As LIV scales back its US events, they’ve revealed a fresh stateside addition with Wednesday’s announcement.
Indiana’s The Club at Chatham Hills prepares to play host to LIV’s inaugural tournament in Indianapolis, culminating in an epic showdown for the season-long individual championship. Mark your calendars – the chase for the coveted title concludes from August 15-17, 2025, at The Club at Chatham Hills in Westfield, Indiana.
A press release read: “The season’s final individual event will see players vying for the prestigious title of 2025 LIV Golf League Individual Champion and securing Lock Zone positions for 2026. The trip to Indy will also be the last opportunity for players to earn points and avoid relegation while team seedings for the 2025 Team Championship will be determined.
“Chatham Hills’ renowned Championship course, the final design by legendary architect Pete Dye, will provide a challenging test for the Individual Championship.”
This change means that the league’s regular season will wrap up one month earlier than in 2024, which concluded in Chicago in September of this year. The location and date of the season-ending Team Championship are still to be confirmed, with Dallas’ Bolingbrook playing host in 2024.
The Dallas event has been moved into the regular season, and will now occur much earlier in the season, between June 27-29. In other news, LIV’s European venture will once again coincide with The Open Championship, set to take place at Royal Portrush in 2025.
As was the case this campaign, LIV Andalucia will be hosted at Valderrama a week prior to The Open between July 11-13, with LIV UK then returning to JCB Golf and Country Club the week following the final major of the year.
Norman added: “We’re excited to build on the tremendous success we had last year at new LIV Golf venues in Chicago, Dallas, and the UK, where we set new league attendance records and saw dramatic competition on the course. And our partnership with Andalucía continues to deliver a memorable experience for players and fans at Valderrama, a one-of-a-kind venue in Spain.”
