In a bid to stay young forever, a model has revealed her strict diet and beauty regime which she claims makes people mistake her for being over a decade younger than she is
A woman who often gets mistaken for a teenager says her youthful look is all down to feasting on banana peel, guzzling olive oil and scrubbing herself with a grill scourer.
Kristina Lubnova, 31, says she manages to “cheat” the ageing process thanks to her strict diet, and she’s determined to look as young as possible.
The health and wellness advocate regularly sips olive oil and scoffs rinds of fruit, believing that it will help her to live longer. She also scrubs her skin with a kitchen scourer, usually used for tough kitchen stains and barbecue grills, to help remove any rough patches on her body
Kristina, from Los Angeles, California, said: “I want to avoid getting old and wrinkly as long as I can. That’s not to say ageing can’t be a beautiful and graceful process, but I want to take care of my body as best I can. All we have is our bodies, I want to cheat the ageing process and live as long as I can. I want to be ready in each phase of my life to welcome it in the best way.
“People keep mistreating the only vessel that they’re in – then wondering why their quality of life is so bad. You just need discipline and self control. To keep the Grim Reaper at bay I now avoid processed sugar, it’s a big one for skin health too.”
She also makes sure she eats enough protein and vegetables, as well as drinking olive oil which she says contains fatty acids which “keep our bodies healthy” and believes if we keep healthy it helps with “our longevity of life.”
“I’m a connoisseur of olive oil and have tried many different types, I love the taste and I put it on my skin as well. I’m a strong believer in eating the peels of fruits and veggies. They have the most potent benefits and we throw them away. I eat the peels of bananas, avocados, pineapples and watermelon,” she added.
Her unique beauty regime also means she is particular about her beauty and exercise. Kristina said: “I exfoliate twice a week. Living in LA, especially with the amount of smog and all the oils I put on my body, I feel like they adhere to my skin when I run outside.
“I make sure to scrub that off. I use a Scrub Daddy, the kind that are used to clean barbeques, it makes my skin shiny. I also use a gua sha and olive oil on my face to improve circulation. I’ve done weightlifting with a personal trainer, practice yoga and go running. It’s not only good for my body but also mentally.”
The model said her routines help to give her direction and a knowledge of who she wants to be in life. ” By embracing this lifestyle I want to take care of my body for as long as I can.”
