Bluetooth trackers have become a must-have for travellers, the tiny gadgets from the likes of Apple, Tile, and Samsung help keep tabs on the belongings they’re attached to. Whether it’s the zip of a suitcase, wallet, clipped onto car keys, or around a pet’s collar these somewhat discreet pieces can help track down items when lost.

Despite not being the ‘OG’ tracker, many will think of the Apple AirTag – the coin-sized accessory that, in the words of the iOS brand, ‘tracks all your stuff’, and is exclusive to iPhone or Apple Find My users only. I’ve used the AirTag on multiple holidays myself, popping them in checked luggage or my passport holder in case they go missing, and I’ve just found a way to get the gadget for less.

The AirTag usually retails at Apple for £35, but a recent deal at Argos has cut the price down to £29, but there’s even more to save. On top of the £6 sale saving, shoppers who buy the products through TopCashback will save a further £15.36 – as the AirTag drops to £13.64.

As a keen traveller outside of work, and a tech editor during my 9-5, trackers are something I’ve been able to test out for myself. From the AirTag to the Samsung SmartTag, Tile Tracker, and even a sleek card-like Chipolo SPOT.

I’d recommend the £21 Chipolo SPOT for those wanting an even more discreet way of tracking their belongings, as it can be slipped into a wallet to mimic a bank card. Elsewhere, the Eufy SmartTrack is a good option for this – now £18 at Amazon – both of which are a lot lighter than the AirTag.

Next, the Tile Tag, which can be bought at Amazon. I personally prefer the Tile Tag design over the smaller round AirTag as it’s easier to find in a large suitcase, however, a huge downgrade to Tile is its paid-for subscription fees to unlock better tracking.

Apple’s main downside, coming from someone who’s used one, is its lack of capability to other phones, which isn’t as reliable, as there has to be iPhones in the location for it to ping through once lost.

There are a few things to follow in order to get this deal, as I explain. If you’re a new customer the first thing to do is to create a TopCashback account, then search for Argos in the search engine.

Once you’ve found the AirTag deal shop as usual, it’s here that TopCashback will register the sale, and give a proportion of money back to shoppers after shopping through its link.

That is how the AirTag drops from the already cheaper £29 sale price down to £13.64. The key thing to note, however, is this is new TopCashback and Argos members only. If you’re an existing Argos customer, but new to TopCashback, then you’ll pay slightly more in pennies – £13.76 for the AirTag to be exact.

It’s also worth highlighting that the cashback takes a few days to fall into users accounts, but once landed it can be withdrawn. The exact tips on how to get the AirTag for less can be seen below.
