The skincare and makeup beauty gift set features £110 worth of Clinique fan-favourite products for a fraction of the price

High-end skincare brand Clinique has launched several brilliant Black Friday deals, perfect for Christmas presents or a beauty cupboard top-up. In particular, I’m loving a gift set deal that gets you £110 worth of goodies for just £50 — one I was quick to snap up when I visited my local counter over the weekend.

There’s an impressive range of products in the 4-piece skincare and make-up set, and it’s ideal for anyone keen to try new products. Down from £100, the Clinique Fan Favourites Beauty Gift Set includes:

  • Full-size Moisture Surge 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, 50ml
  • Full-size High Impact Mascara in Black, 7ml
  • Full-size All About Eyes, 15ml
  • Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, 30ml

Predictably, it’s available from Clinique. If you’re shopping elsewhere, it’s also available from retailers including Sephora, Look Fantastic, Boots, and Marks and Spencer. It’s an impressive offering considering the 50ml Moisture Surge alone would usually set you back £42.

For me, the gift set offered a brilliant deal. Having recently been diagnosed with rosacea, an inflammatory skin condition that sees my cheeks turn dry and rosy when I’m exposed to triggers, I discovered Clinique’s dermatologist-guided products earlier this year, and I was returning with the intention of stocking up on Moisture Surge when I found the £50 set. I love the feel of the moisturiser which feels instantly hydrating.

While everyone’s skin is different, and what works for one person might not work for another, I suspect the set will prove popular with other shoppers, I’d also been debating buying the Cleansing Balm, having heard my sister sing its praises.

So you can imagine my delight when I found the gift set, and while everyone’s skin is different, and what works for one person might not work for another, I suspect the set will prove popular with other shoppers too.

All of the products are well-reviewed online. On Clinique’s website, a Moisture Surge fan wrote: “This is one of the very few skincare products that I have repurchased over & over again. My skin was always combination with an oily t-zone but hormonal changes have left me a little drier & with more sensitive redness. This gel-cream worked beautifully for both, hydrating & soothing,” and a second said: “At first I was unsure, I think because it was so light and instantly absorbed but I’m now on my third jar and absolutely love it! Absorbs instantly and is great under makeup. You can apply straight away without any pilling.”

Meanwhile, someone else described the Cleansing Balm as a ‘holy grail’ product. They explained: “I’ve tried so many cleansing balms and this is by far the best! Easily takes off all make-up and rinses off easily with water without leaving residue (although I would still recommend following up with a foamy cleanser).consult your GP or a qualified medical professional about It is the only cleansing balm that does not sting my eyes. I will not use anything else!”

However, someone noted: “Although it seems like the makeup is dissolving – after rinsing, my towels all have makeup residue from me drying my face. Wake up on a morning with a greasy top layer on my face and now have a nice breakout,” and another shared: “I’m prone to breakouts but normally on my cheeks, since using this product I’ve had a huge breakout on my chin and forehead! Clogs pores and leaves bigger blackheads! Way too greasy.. really would NOT recommend.”
