A lot of people admire how preened and put-together Kate Middleton always looks.

And now one fashionista has shared a six-step method so that you can emulate the Princess of Wales’ impeccable style yourself.

Fashion stylist Alexandra Parmenter regularly shares her “classic, feminine and practical style tips” with her 21,400 followers on her @ldy.alx Instagram account. And in one of her latest reels, she decided to divulge Catherine’s style secrets.

Alexandra was seen in her reel wearing a forest green long-sleeved top and smart black jeans as she preened her long, blonde locks while at a museum.

Overlay text read: “If you don’t bother to put in the effort to look polished everyday… you’re probably over-complicating it when you do!

“I use the Princess Catherine (Kate Middleton) 6 step method.”

Alexandra said these six points were:

  1. Earrings
  2. Perfume
  3. Clean, styled hair
  4. Natural makeup
  5. Outfit fitted at the waist
  6. Accessory sandwich

Following up in her caption, she said: “Princess Catherine (Kate Middleton) is arguably the most polished person on the planet, even when she’s dressed more casually.

“I’ve worked out her signature method and it involves 6 steps. Did you know that her favourite perfume is Jo Malone London Orange Blossom Cologne?

“Let me know if you think I’ve missed something she does to look polished, and let me know if there’s any tips you would add so others can learn from you!”

People were loving the post, with it racking up more than 3,900 likes. One person wrote: “I saved this to help me get dressed. But what is an accessory sandwich?” Alexandra answered: “Matching your shoes to your bag, match also with your belt for extra points.”

Another person also suggested you should have clean shoes if you want to look polished.

However, some people argued Kate was in a privileged position which allowed her to remain stylish, with one person saying: “It’s very easy when you don’t have to worry about things like cleaning, paying bills, raising kids. Don’t come at me… They’ve got housekeepers, nanny, accountants, drivers, etc. I could go on but won’t…”

The post comes as one other leading fashion stylist, Ciara Russell, recently claimed Kate is already wearing 2025 fashion trends and remains “a big influence on British fashion”.
