A model shared that she wouldn’t get specific beauty treatments because of the ‘risk,’ or because she felt as though she didn’t need them, but she said it was her ‘personal opinion’
A model has opened up about the five beauty treatments she wouldn’t touch with a barge pole despite their surge in popularity in recent years.
She warned fans that they “might get mad about it” because you may have “already done some of these,” but she felt like she had to share what she thought about things from under-eye filler, to laser hair removal.
Model @alexanicolecollins stated that it was just her “personal opinion” when she spoke about the treatments, and she knew that results may vary from person to person, but she wanted to share what she would never get personally because she doesn’t want it, or she’s “too afraid”.
“Number one, starting with under-eye filler. I just feel like I’ve seen too many horror stories about under-eye filler, and I feel like, after a year or so, people are getting it and posting on TikTok that they regret it because it migrated and caused them to look older,” she admitted.
Alexa then said that another treatment she wouldn’t be getting was permanent makeup. She said she thought it was “harsh looking,” and can look “unnatural,” no matter how good the tattoo artist was.
“Then, you can’t remove it because it’s permanent, so you might change your mind a few months later and then be like ‘, Oh my god, what did I just do?'” she said.
The third thing she’d never get, despite the fact she “had them for so many years,” is eyelash extensions. She said that she’s now grown her lashes and does them in a way that makes her feel “comfortable”. “I feel like everyone’s eyes open up so much when they take their eyelash extensions off,” she said, claiming that people look “so beautiful without them”.
Number four was laser hair removal. Alexa said she has “heard stories” about it that have put her off, and she said she has “really sensitive skin,” so would rather avoid getting it done.
“I’d rather shave once a week, full routine, instead of getting laser hair removal,” she said, despite the fact that she knew her comments would be “controversial” to some.
She said she’d heard stories about “people’s hair coming back thicker,” but other girls have said, “Hey, this has changed my life.” She personally didn’t want to do it as she felt she didn’t “have enough hair” on her body to warrant it.
“The last treatment is definitely the brow thread lift,” she said. Alexa shared that she’d “considered it,” but she was “way too afraid that it wouldn’t come out good”.
She said she’d seen people where their “entire face has changed” and she “didn’t want that” so said it was “not worth the risk”. “It’s expensive, and it’s also a risky procedure,” she ended the video by sharing, saying she didn’t want it.
In the comments, someone wrote: “I’m a nurse injector. I’m also 100% not a fan of undereye filler and PDO threads. I’ve seen more patients unhappy/needing corrections than patients who are actually satisfied with either treatment.”
Another shared their regrets, saying: “Under eye filler ruined my face for life. I didn’t get migration, but it just looked horrible and had it dissolved, and now my eyes are so sunken I look like Snoopy”.
