Two stars of The Inbetweeners have come together after over a decade as part of a huge project to celebrate the upcoming Oasis tour after Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited

The Inbetweeners stars have reunited as part of a huge project ahead of the upcoming Oasis reunion. Later this year, once warring brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will hit the road for the first time since 2009 when the band dramatically ended. Since then, Liam and Noel were at loggerheads until last year when they dropped the bombshell they were reuniting.

But they’re not the only ones reuniting, James Buckley and Joe Thomas who previously worked together on the sitcom The Inbetweeners have reunited after over a decade. The two actors will take part in an exclusive sketch for BBC’s Red Nose Day taking on the roles of Liam and Noel in a parody – documenting their rise to mega fame.

In the parody, fans can expect to see all the drama from the Gallagher brothers, including their sibling showdowns, feuds. celebrity cameos, a look at iconic music moments from the 90s as well as a heap of Britpop nostalgia.

Joining them will be Tasha Ghorui, Piers Morgan, Melvin Odoom, Roisin Conaty, Vernon Kay, Mark Silcox, Hugh Dennis, Micky Flanagan and Martin Lewis, who will all step into roles from the Oasis rise to stardom. Speaking about the skit, James said: “I had such a fun time with Joe, making this sketch for Comic Relief, and was honoured to be asked to be a part of it. And, of course, being a huge Oasis fan, getting to be Liam for the day was a dream come true.”

Meanwhile, Joe added: “I grew up watching Comic Relief and the big sketch was always a highlight of the night. So it’s both thrilling and nerve wracking to be a part of it.” But that’s not all, Comic Relief will also be giving the fans to win a huge Oasis bundle. The winner will receive a pair of VIP tickets to see the band play at Wembley Stadium, sitting inside the Royal Box on August 2, 2025.

They will also take home a signed guitar from Noel and Liam, as well as more tour merchandise. Travel and accommodation for the night will also be included for the winner. Money raised from this year’s Red Nose Day will go towards helping supply food and a stable home for children affected by conflict across the UK and around the world.

Red Nose Day first teased the announcement on Sunday, taking to Instagram sharing the date “21.03.25” in the style of Oasis’ logo, with many fans online instantly assuming Liam and Noel would be taking part. “Are you feeling supersonic yet? Because I am,” commented one.

A second added: “OASIS in the area.” “What is this so I can mentally prepare?!” exclaimed another. But when the news became public, many were left in fits of laughter as they repeated Jay’s iconic phrase from The Inbetweeners: “Completed it, mate.” “Oasis…… completed it mate,” joked one.

“Iconic,” added a second. Meanwhile a third went on to say: “This had me in a chokehold ffs guys.”

Oasis: The Reunion: The Movie will air Friday March 21, between 7 and 10pm on BBC One and on BBC Two from 10pm.
