I’m A Celebrity viewers shared their thoughts on scenes from the latest episode of the ITV show this week ahead of the first campmate being voted out of the jungle soon

Fans of I’m A Celebrity have been sharing their thoughts ahead of the first eviction on the new series.

Tuesday’s episode saw Jane Moore and Maura Higgins tackle the latest bushtucker trial on the ITV show, with them winning six stars out of a potential dozen for the camp. It marked Jane’s first trial since her arrival in Australia.

Although Jane showed enthusiasm prior to the trial, some fans later turned on her, with it having been suggested that it looked like Maura was carrying the team. It’s prompted calls from some viewers for the Loose Women star to be sent home, as reported by OK! magazine this week.

One viewer tweeted: “Jane needs to go, I’ve had enough #ImACeleb.” Another viewer said: “If I could make the decision now I would vote Jane & Dean [McCullough] out #imaceleb.” A third frustrated viewers posted: “Jane is a disgrace letting Maura go through all that just to pick and choose which ones she wants to do. She didn’t even try! And to think she wanted to do a trial! #imaceleb”. Another added their voice to the commentary, saying: “So done with Jane and Dean to be honest #ImACeleb.”

The backlash comes following all the campmates taking part in Fright Bus, where they braved an array of bugs, including cockroaches, mealworms and spiders, all in the hope of securing some personal belongings for the camp. However, as the campmates confronted the insects, some viewers couldn’t help but notice something about the challenge.

While other contestants were screaming and shrieking at the sight of the bugs, Dean McCullough was noticeably quiet, leading to questions about his reaction. Known for his dramatic responses to the bushtucker trials, he’s participated in the most this series and even quit two early, but the BBC Radio 1 DJ seemed unusually subdued on the Fright Bus. “Dean seems very calm and happy in the fright bus… He’s grinning and not screaming. I guess it was all just fake after all,” one fan tweeted.

Another posted: “No sound from Dean shows he was faking it, praying he will be the first one out.” Someone else commented on the platform: “Weird how there’s bugs falling and spiders around but Dean is laughing and smiling? Not shouted once…” A fourth added: “Dean is extremely calm for someone who has spent the past week screaming during trials.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs every night at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITVX. Companion show I’m A Celebrity…Unpacked airs live on ITV2 directly afterwards.
