A woman has shared her clever tricks for being successful while selling old clothes on Vinted – as she’s managed to make it her full time job with these simple steps
After making thousands flogging her old clothes on Vinted, one woman has shared her top tips for cashing in on items you no longer wear.
Making some extra money on the side can help save the pennies, especially when you have clothes stashed in your wardrobe you no longer wear – however it can be frustrating when you don’t have much luck selling them online.
Savvy Vinted shopper Maisie, from Yorkshire, managed to make reselling her full time career last year after making £18,000 online. She now searches through car boots, charity shops and online second hand sites for garments.
Making a living out of it, the secondhand seller revealed how easy it is to do – and said it’s very simple.

“I absolutely love buying on Vinted to resell on Vinted. It’s so easy and it just goes to show the difference that a good quality picture with good lighting and a good background can honestly make,” she shared on a TikTok video.
She captioned the video: “Buying to resell from vinted is one of my fave ways to source stock for reselling. Being able to put money in people’s pockets either online or at a car boot is just such a lovely thing to do.”
Her first tip is to always list similar clothes sizes at the same time on Vinted, as people may go onto your profile and then find other items they like as well – which can help generate bigger sales. She explained: “They’re more likely to get their money’s worth by buying a bundle from you so it will boost your sales and your profit at the same time.

“You’re only having to ship out one parcel and the buyer is only having to pay one lot of postage and fees.” Maisie also shared in a separate video how she hunts down bargains and sells them for much more than she paid. Recently she sold a dress for over four times the amount she bought it for.
Maisie bought a WoolOvers linen dress for £3.30 from Vinted as part of a bundle, and then sold it on eBay for £20.46, giving her a nice little profit. “If you’re not keen on getting out to car boots or charity shops or you just don’t have the time, get on Vinted.
“Then, get this stuff delivered to your door, take better photographs, and list it back on Vinted” She explained. Her videos have garnered lots of attention, with many people inspired to do the same. One TikToker commented: “Amazing flip!! I’ve just started reselling too!! Sometimes it is just a case of taking better photos too!!”
