Jade Goody’s husband Jack Tweed has claimed that the late reality TV star’s dying wish for her sons has not been granted as her fortune was ‘wiped out’ by taxes rendering it impossible

Jack Tweed has revealed that Jade Goody’s final wish for her sons to be privately educated has sadly not come to pass. He suggests, without solid proof, that large chunks of Jade’s hard-earned money were taken by tax liabilities.

In an interview with The Sun, Jack shared: “It would have broken Jade if she’d known. She’d be devastated. I’ve never been able to get my head around it – the person’s dead.”

Jade’s courageous fight against cervical cancer came to an end on 22 March 2009. Prior to her passing, the former dental nurse secured several lucrative media contracts, determined that the proceeds would secure an elite education for her boys, Bobby, then 15, and Freddy, then 14.

Among those deals was over £1 million from OK! magazine for exclusive coverage of her wedding to Jack, who disclosed that Jade insisted he receive half of their joint earnings.

However, by 2011, Jade’s wealth had been almost entirely depleted by £1.8million in debts, as the Big Brother star had not paid income tax in the four years preceding her death. Speaking about Jade’s income, Jack said: “I didn’t take a penny from her. Nothing. She was lying in the hospital bed trying to buy me a flat. I told her no. She wanted to make sure I was alright. She knew I was young. She knew I loved her to absolute pieces. And she knew if she wasn’t there I wouldn’t know what to do.”

Since Jade’s passing at 27, her children have lived with their father Jeff Brazier, reports OK!

Last year, Jeff shared an emotional video revealing how he and the boys keep Jade’s memory alive during Christmas.

Jack is set to become a father for the first time, 15 years after Jade’s passing. He shared the exciting news that his long-term girlfriend, Ellis Sargeant, is pregnant with their first child earlier this year. Revealing that he’s set to become a dad for the first time, Jack told The Sun: “I’ve always wanted kids. I am so excited.”

He confirmed that Ellis is currently eight weeks pregnant and said he’s been eager to share their exciting news after previously feeling “guilty” about finding happiness. He told the publication: “I’ve always felt guilty, but now I finally, I think, I’ve accepted it, and I don’t feel that guilt anymore, really, about it. I feel like it’s acceptable to move on, and I think she’d want the same thing as well.”

Jack Tweed has opened up about the mix of emotions he’s feeling with the new chapter ahead, as the joy of expecting a child is tinged with past sorrows. He previously faced the heartache of a miscarriage with his late wife Jade Goody before her cancer diagnosis.

Reflecting on the painful experience, Jack said that Jade’s miscarriage was “horrible” because he had been “so excited” to start a family with her, confessing his deep love for her. Despite loving her sons Bobby and Freddie, whom Jade had with ex Jeff Brazier, like his own, Jack shared his eagerness to have children with the Big Brother icon.

Jack reminisced about the devastating loss of their first child together, stating: “Obviously that was horrible, because I obviously loved Jade to absolute pieces, and I was so excited we were having a kid together.”
