Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools have renewed their vows in a Las Vegas wedding, marking their 24th anniversary. The couple were married by an Elvis impersonator at the Graceland Wedding Chapel.
The TV chef, 49, celebrated the occasion by posting a series of photos on Instagram, featuring the couple posing with the Elvis lookalike. The post also included pictures from their original wedding in 2000 which saw Jamie and Jools exiting the church as man and wife. The couple appeared to be overjoyed after saying “I do” in front of Elvis – with Jools being a huge fan of the late singer who died in 1977.
Alongside the photos, Jamie wrote: “Happy 24th wedding anniversary @joolsoliver 24 years!!! Love you Las vagus baby ! ! @gracelandweddingchapellv big love really good fun jamie xxx.” In a separate post, Jools thanked her husband for indulging her love of Elvis as she commemorated their anniversary.
The mother-of-five posted a video montage on Instagram of the couple at the Graceland Wedding Chapel, showing them walking down the aisle and sharing a kiss while the impersonator sang. “Happy 24 crazy married years together. I love you so much”, she penned. “Thank you for indulging my LOVE for Elvis. I know this marriage has ‘3 people in it but you get me like NO other! Just you wait and see what I have planned for our 25th @jamieoliver.”
Fans and celebrity pals instantly rushed to the comment section to congratulate the couple, with Daisy Lowe writing: “Oh how brilliant happiest anniversary,” alongside three heart emojis. “I love these photos SO MUCH! You’ve put a massive smile on my face. Here’s to 24 years of marriage and laughs, and Elvis, obvs,” said another.
Meanwhile, a second added: “You two are completely nuts! But I LOVE it! Just like 24 years ago. Happy crazy anniversary.” Derrick McKenzie added: “Happy anniversary to you both. Sending big hugs and massive love.” “Aww this is amazing, we got re-married there for our anniversary too last May!!! Congratulations guys,” wrote another follower.
The celebrity chef and the former model tied the knot in a church ceremony in Essex in July 2000 and are parents to five children Poppy, Daisy, Petal, Buddy and River. The couple had previously renewed their vows in the Maldives last year, celebrating 23 years of marriage. Both Jamie and Jools never shy away when it comes to declaring their love for one another.
