Comedian Jimmy Carr looked dapper and almost unrecognisable as he stepped out in London on Thursday night, showing off his new look after a few tweakments

Comedian Jimmy Carr has stepped out with a new look once again after previously admitting very little of his original face remains.

The 8 Out of 10 Cats host, 52, is no stranger to going under the knife and having a full tweakmeants and it looks like the dad-of-one has possibly had some more work done.

Spotted enjoying a night out at Chiltern Firehouse on Thursday, Jimmy’s bright white veneers were on full display as he beamed widely, showing off the results of his 2022 hair transplant as he walked down the street in a black three-piece suit and patterned tie.

The stand-up comic has always been open about his transformation since rising to fame in the early 2000s, often making himself the subject of his own jokes. Jimmy has admitted to having several ‘tweakments’, including a hair transplant, veneers, and Botox.

During an appearance on Gabby Logan’s The Mid-point podcast in 201, he confessed, “I’ve gone a bit crazy with it, I’ve got the new teeth and the new hair – I’ve had a proper midlife crisis. Like, right, let’s get everything done.”

Jimmy even quipped that his ever-altered face is akin to Trigger’s broom from the sitcom Only Fools and Horses – the broom with 17 new heads and 14 new handles. He threw himself into cosmetic procedures, admitting, “I’ve had a little bit of Botox, some filler – everything I can get done.”

Despite the tweaks and tucks, Jimmy assured listeners it’s more about preservation than transformation: “My face is now like Trigger’s broom from Only Fools And Horses, very little of the original is still there. Maintaining is the thing, I don’t think there’s anything you can do plastic surgery wise, or augmentation wise, that makes you look better, you can just sort it stay the same, that’s what you can hope for.”

He also shared an amusing anecdote about a run-in with Simon Cowell’s cosmetic specialist. “I was seeing a guy, getting a bit of Botox, and I was chatting to him and he said, ‘Oh I do Simon Cowell,’ and I went, ‘Yeah I think I better leave’,” he quipped. “‘What have you done . . . he looks like a melted candle’.”

Jimmy has also previously revealed that he opted for a hair transplant procedure due to concerns that he was starting to look like a “snooker-playing vampire”. Despite jokingly suggesting using his pubic hair for the procedure, Jimmy used a graft from his own hair after telling the surgeon he wanted to look like “an Armenian cab driver”.

He first unveiled his new appearance on BBC football show Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer in June 2020 – with presenter Maya Jama noting his changed look. Jimmy explained: “I tell you what I did, I went and had a hair transplant. I kind of had a look of a snooker-playing Vampire.”

Jimmy joked that his hair was “socially distancing” from his forehead and he’d had enough of it. “I shaved my head and what they do is take hairs from the back of your head and they put them on the front,” he said. “Basically I had enough hair, it was just in the wrong place. It was a bit of redistribution.”

Another striking feature of Jimmy’s appearance now is his gleaming teeth. “I’ve had a lot of work done. I got my teeth knocked out and put back in,” he confessed at the Just For Laughs festival. The comedian underwent a dramatic transformation during an intense three-day session shortly after lockdown lifted in 2020.

He spent a gruelling 24 hours in the dentist’s chair over the first two days, during which he was given “rohypnol”, resulting in a “dream-like haze”. “My cosmetic journey started about 10 years ago – that’s more than veneers I would say,” he shared on Gabby Logan’s The Mid-Point podcast.

“I got my teeth done, that’s the first thing I had done, they’re more than veneers. I got every tooth in my head done in one sitting,” he elaborated. “I did 12 hours in the chair the first day, then 12 hours the second, it was like a three day thing where you’ve got temporary things on, but it was pretty full on. I think they gave me Rohypnol – that type of drug – intravenously into the vein and you’re kind of out of it and they do everything and you’re fine. It’s a dream-like haze, you’re in a weird space.”
