The This Morning presenter looked every bit the festive queen in a shimmery top from popular celeb-loved retailer Phase Eight
Josie Gibson has been providing us with all the outfit inspiration we need in the run-up to Christmas – and she’s done it once again with a sparkly top from the high street. Stepping in for Cat Deeley in the run up to Christmas, the 39-year-old dazzled viewers in a purple long sleeve top perfect for party season.
On Wednesday’s show, she joined Dermot O’Leary to discuss last-minute Christmas gifts, festive street food, and holiday baking. Looking every bit the festive queen, Josie donned a shimmery top from popular celeb-loved retailer Phase Eight.
The Stella Twist Neck Shimmer Top, is designed in a purple hue with subtle shimmer detailing, a twist neck, and long sleeves. Originally £59, shoppers can now pick up the glitzy number for £45 after the retailer launched their winter sale this week.

After sharing a picture of her outfit on Instagram, Josie was showered with compliments. Some of the comments read: “You look fabulous, Josie.” “You look amazing as always, dear Josie.” and “Loved your top this morning—beautiful.”
The blouse has earned several five-star reviews on the Phase Eight website, hailed as ‘very flattering’ by wearers, Birmingham Live reports. One read: “Really comfortable. Works well with or without a jacket. Great colour and the off-centre neck detail very flattering.” However, some have still been left divided, with another penning: “Neck arrangement strange, the jury is out! I shall probably keep it because I can’t be bothered to send it back.”
Josie styled the top with a pair of Holland and Cooper trousers, which we’ve seen styled with a number of outfits previously. Speaking of past outfits, Phase Eight is very much a recurring brand in Josie’s wardrobe, alongside brands like Whistles, River Island, and Karen Millen.
One of her looks from earlier this year, this New Look Black Zebra Print Crinkled Long Sleeved Midi Dress, is currently on sale for £18. Another piece that’s just hit the sale is this Brushwork Print Mesh Dress from Whistles. It comes in a green shade in a bodycon fit and has a unique brushwork print to draw focus, while ruched detailing around the waist delivers a ‘timeless’ and flattering silhouette. It’s now £109, down from £159.
Phase Eight is one of many brands that have dropped discounts on party dresses, including this cosy knit dress, this December. Boden is also offering up to 50% off women’s and children’s clothing and accessories, with Whistles also slashing prices by up to half price.
