The American singer had health issues in 2024 as well

Justin Timberlake has expressed his deep regret at having to cancel a gig on his US tour because he’s come down with the flu.

The 44-year-old American singer was forced to pull out of his performance at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, part of his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, just before it was set to kick off on Thursday.

Taking to Instagram, the star shared his sorrow: “You guys, I’m heartbroken, I have to cancel the show tonight.

“I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now it’s gotten the best of me.

“It kills me to disappoint you and my team who worked so hard to make this show happen. I want to reassure you, you’ll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all.”

The ‘Cry Me A River’ hitmaker had previously had to postpone shows in 2024 due to bronchitis and laryngitis. Despite the setback, Timberlake is slated to head to South America for performances at the Lollapalooza festivals in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, as well as other festival gigs, before bringing his tour to Europe, including stops in Belfast, Newport, and Essex during June and July.

Last year, Timberlake made headlines when he pleaded guilty to impaired driving, concluding a legal battle that began with his arrest in New York state in June on charges of drink-driving.
