Katie Price broke her feet whilst on holiday in Turkey four years ago, with it attributed to an accident at a theme park, but her ex Carl Woods has now shared a different story
Former glamour model Katie Price broke her feet moments after her then-partner Carl Woods caught her messaging a footballer, it’s been alleged this week.
It was announced that Katie, now 46, had broken both her feet while on holiday in Turkey with her family back in 2020. It was reported at the time that the injury was sustained in an accident at a theme park.
Her former partner Carl, now 35 – whom it was confirmed she had split up from earlier this year – has now claimed that the injury, which left her temporarily in a wheelchair, was sustained after she was caught sexting a footballer, according to the Sun. Speaking to the outlet, Carl claimed: “It actually happened because she went wild after I confronted her about cheating on me with a very famous footballer who plays for England.” Former Love Island contestant Carl said that Katie was “gutted” that he had “busted” her.
Discussing the holiday, Carl said that Katie got “really drunk” just days into the trip and he discovered she was trying to send videos to the footballer. Carl, who said he had only been in a relationship with Katie for six weeks by that point, said he “caught” her messaging the footballer as she had tried to send him videos while they were at a bar. He said that she had been “very sloppy” after drinking alcohol and “that’s how” he found out. Carl alleged that prior to that night, he had seen the footballer attempt a video call with Katie but she had declined it.
He said that when he “confronted” her she went “wild,” running out of the room, downstairs, out of the hotel and then out of the car park. He said she “didn’t mean to do it” but was “running like a lunatic” and “went off the edge,” saying: “She ran through the bush and the ground disappeared beneath her.” He said that’s how she “really did her feet”.
Carl said that they spent “all night” in the hospital and that when she sobered up, Katie told him that she didn’t think he “liked her” and that it “wouldn’t happen again”. He told the outlet that it should have been “enough” for him to leave, but he gave her “the benefit of the doubt”.
He went on to say that the months following the injury were the best of their relationship because Katie “couldn’t cheat” on him. He described her as having been “wonderful” whilst he supported at the time and he said that his own life “went on hold” so he could care for the reality TV star.
Katie and Carl went on to have an on-off relationship for three years. Most recently, she confirmed back in January that they had parted ways and she’s currently in a relationship with former Married at First Sight star JJ Slater.
