Katie Price had posted a message about ‘finally finding herself’ and feeling “no longer afraid of losing others” – sparking fans to fear her relationship with JJ Slater is over
Katie Price has spoken out about the state of her relationship with JJ Slater after posting a cryptic message about being unafraid of losing people.
The 46-year-old mum-of-five has been in a relationship with 31-year-old Married At First Sight star JJ for the past year – but fans have been left fearing there is trouble for the pair. Katie herself sparked concern when she took to social media to share a cryptic message.
The OnlyFans content creator shared a message in which she declared she was enjoying “boundaries without guilt” and how she’s “no longer afraid of losing others” as she’s “finally found herself”. Her upload also made reference to tolerating less when it comes to people rubbing her up the wrong way.
Her post declared: “She used to tolerate a lot because she didn’t want to lose people. She stayed quiet, overgave and made excuses for others, thinking it was the only way to keep the peace.”
The message continued: “But now, she knows better. She’s learned that constantly shrinking herself to make others comfortable only leads to losing the most important relationship of all – her relationship with herself.”
The paragraph went on to add that the woman now “sets boundaries without guilt” and “speaks her truth” as the people who “truly value her will respect her limits and the ones who don’t were never meant to stay”. It concludes with: “She’s no longer afraid of losing others – she’s finally found herself.”
The mysterious nature of the post led many of Katie’s fans to fear the worst – suspecting she and JJ had split. But now the star has denied this is the case – and the romance is said to be as strong as ever.
Asked if Katie and JJ are still a couple and happy, a spokesperson for the star confidently replied: “Yes, they very much are still together.” Katie and JJ have been spending quality time together in recent weeks – with the pair sharing social media posts of themselves together over the festive season.
JJ appears to have become a strong shoulder for Katie after her split in 2023 from fiancé, Carl Woods. In the week ahead, Katie and Carl’s past relationship is expected to be brought back into the spotlight as Katie is to feature in a new documentary.
The two-part special, titled Katie Price: Making Babies, is to air on Channel 4 on Monday night and follows Katie and Carl as they attempted to start a family together. A synopsis for the show reads: “Being a mum means everything to Katie Price. Filmed in 2023, we follow Katie and her partner at the time, Carl, as they undergo fertility treatment, in the hope of growing their family.”
The second part is due to air on Tuesday, and is described: “Katie and Carl continue their IVF journey. Katie has successfully overcome the first hurdle, but there’s a long way to go on the rocky road to potentially having a new baby. Following the highs and lows of family life as Katie and Carl try to beat the odds and deal with the pressure of undergoing fertility treatment.”
Earlier this month, Carl opened up about his relief over the fact their attempt to create life together failed. He told The Sun: This is not a heartbreak situation. I’m not unhappy that it didn’t work. I’m ecstatic that it didn’t work. I’m sure she’s glad she’s got the clean break. You know, we don’t have any ties.”
