A kayaker who died while out on a lake, called his dad in his final moments telling him: “I don’t think i can make it”. Taryn Zinszer died following an accident at Lewisville Lake in Northern Texas on March 15.
The 29-year-old’s dad Troy has now spoken to local reporters and revealed his panicking son called him. He revealed, he said: “I’m in the middle of the lake and I don’t think I can make it, I’m floating towards the toll bridge, but I don’t think I’m gonna make it”.
“And then the phone went dead,” Troy said as his voice broke. “I’ve always been able to rescue him.” The tragic cause of death is still pending. Taryn was reported to have died at 10.54pm.

Taryn was found in the lake by his Zinszer family and the Lewisville Fire Department. He had been wearing a life jacket at the time of the accident.
It is not clear what happened of how Taryn got into trouble in the water. However it is believed his kayak capsized in strong winds.
Troy and Pam Zinszer recently revisited their adventurous son’s favourite path. It was hard for them to look at his favourite spot on Lewisville Lake.
Two weekends earlier, their son Taryn Zinszer, who goes by Taz, went kayaking. Pan Zinser said: “He was just chilling.
“I’m sure he probably saw the sunset right before. The water was a little choppy that night and it was getting dark,”
Speaking to reporters, his dad got emotional as he added: “My boy is dead. I just love him so much, and I miss him so much. He loved this lake.”
Taryn’s mum added: “He was just chilling, I’m sure he probably saw a beautiful sunset before.
“I mean the water was getting a little choppy that night and it was getting dark.”
His cause of death is yet to be determined. Taryn is the second kayaker to die on a Northern Texas lake this month after an 18-year-old boy drowned at Benbrook Lake.
