The Wanted star Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey has opened up on her children’s incredible reaction to her baby news after announcing she is expecting another baby with her boyfriend
Happy again Kelsey Parker says her little daughter has suggested they honour her tragic dad if she has a baby boy.
Kelsey is expecting with her tree surgeon boyfriend Will Lindsay, and has opened up on the moment she told her two children, Aurelia, five, and Bodhi, four. The Wanted singer Tom died of brain cancer at 33, leaving Kelsey as a solo mum threee years ago.
Kelsey – who has described her third pregnancy as a “happy accident” – is due in June, and says when she and her quietly-spoken partner saw the positive line on the pregnancy test was an unforgettable moment. Kelsey, who found love again last year when she met Will, 27, on a night out, says her daughter has had a heartbreaking idea.
“I feel like Aurelia’s been in this world before. And when I was eight weeks pregnant, she came up and started talking to a baby in my tummy. Will and I just looked at each other in total disbelief! She has also said she’d like the baby to be called ‘Parker’ if it’s a boy!” he told OK! Magazine.
However, Aurelia seems convinced her mummy is expecting a girl, though the couple haven’t decided whether they will discover the sex of the baby yet. Kelsey and Will live in the second family home she shared with Tom. “Tom and I had a house before, which we had the kids and got married in.
“We moved into my current home in September 2021, and Tom only had eight months in this place, but I feel like he picked it for me. Will gradually moved in. There wasn’t a specific date, but he moved in when it felt right for all of us. Right now, we don’t have any plans to move elsewhere and we’ve made this our home.
“Tom and I always said we wanted four – but life had other plans,” Kelsey added. “So yes, this is amazing but also bittersweet. The joys of finding out I’m pregnant and moving forward with my life, while thinking, ‘My life could have been so different.’ I’ve felt every emotion under the sun. I’m still getting my head around it but I’m so excited. And I know I’m putting myself out there, telling people. I just want everyone to be as happy as I am.”
She last year revealed she received her late husband’s blessings to move on in a touching message via a psychic. Kelsey, claimed Tom has told her in a message from beyond that he supports her decision to move on. The couple had been together since 2009 and Kelsey has explained she is trying to move forward with her life and support her kids.
Confessing she is spiritual, Kelsey revealed she had been seeing spiritual people who claimed they were connecting with Tom. Among many claims, she said the spiritualists were telling her how Tom was trying to tell her it’s okay to date again. “I’m quite spiritual, she told The Sun. “I had been seeing spiritual people who told me that Tom was coming through, saying: ‘Get the wedding ring off as you’re blocking yourself, you need to move forward and meet someone.”
Tom and Kelsey had made plans to have more children prior to his diagnosis. And Kelsey admits it could be in the future for her and new partner Will, who she says would love children of his own. “I do think that could be on the cards for us,” Kelsey added. “Tom and I spoke about having more kids because I wanted four. When he was first diagnosed, I wanted him to go and freeze his sperm, but he wouldn’t. I really wanted him to because I really believed he was going to get better.”
