The winter is notorious for bringing damp, condensation and even mould to your home, so a dehumidifier is a handy little tool to help keep them at bay during the cold weather. Whilst most are large, clunky units that take up space, Lakeland has a range of much more compact smaller ones that are perfect for small rooms.

The Absodry Mini Moisture Absorber is usually priced at £17.99, but it’s just been slashed to £14.39, and it measures approximately 14.5cm wide and 12cm high so you can pop it on windowsills, shelves or just in the corner of a room. You can even take it travelling with you if you struggle to sleep in humid, damp conditions.

The Absodry Mini Moisture Absorber doesn’t require a power outlet or electricity to run either, so you can easily use it in bathrooms. It’s filled with moisture absorbing crystals that suck in any condensation or moisture in the air and collect it in the built-in water container, preventing mould from forming and keeping your room damp-free.

The crystals last roughly 90 days before they need replacing, and you can pick up affordable refills directly from Lakeland, with a pack of four currently £10.39 down from £12.99. The crystals sit inside the small outer shell, which you can pick up in five different colours like grey, mustard, and sage green.

Of course, Lakeland’s mini moisture absorbers aren’t the only compact dehumidifier you can buy. Dunelm has the 1L Dehumidifier priced at £25, which is ideal for rooms up to 20 square meters and has a 1-litre capacity.

Meanwhile Amazon has slashed the price of its Pro Breeze 500ml Premium Dehumidifier from £34.99 to £29.99 for the 500ml option. It’s powerful enough to remove up to 250ml of water per day with a 500ml water tank capacity, and is ideal for rooms up 220 square feet.

However Lakeland shoppers have been praising the Absodry Mini Moisture Absorber , with one writing: “Nice and neat, and good looking, fits nicely on the corner of the window in the bedroom. Works well and very easy to use and refill. I used to use the disposable ones but meant lots of throw away plastic so great to have a reusable one. Does what it says. Will be purchasing more for the other bedrooms.”

Meanwhile on the beige version , one wrote: “This dehumidifier really works. I placed it on the floor under my airer where it absorbs the moisture from damp clothes. I took 1 star off as it’s quite difficult to see the water level through the little window. If the inside was a lighter colour it would be easier to see. All in all a good product.”
