Football presenter Laura Woods and her fiancee, former Love Island contest Adam Collard, have announced the birth of their first-born son, Leo, in a touching social media post
Laura Woods has welcomed her first child with fiancee Adam Collard, the couple have announced.
Collard shared a snap on Instagram showing their new bundle of joy with the caption: “Leo Ernie Collard, our boy,” complete with a heart emoji.
Woods, a regular on ITV and TNT Sports, and Collard got engaged in September of last year. They had earlier confirmed that they were expecting their first baby in 2025.
Collard’s post shared some cute snaps of Leo and his parents as fans flocked to wish the couple and their new addition well on Instagram in the form of a host of goodwill messages.
The couple announced publicly that they were an item back in October 2023. Woods revealed last summer that she knew she was pregnant while covering Euro 2024 for ITV, although she decided to keep the news under wraps from co-stars and fans.
Speaking in The Times, she said: “It was constant, the morning sickness was quite difficult to battle and I was exhausted all the time.
“It didn’t matter how much sleep you actually got, you’d still be knackered. At least there were rest days when I was able to just chill out in my [hotel] room.
“I would have liked to keep it quiet for a little bit longer but I really felt like I couldn’t any more and now I’ve done it it’s a relief.”
Woods, 37, is TNT Sports’ lead presenter, while Collard, 29, shot to fame on Love Island after his initial stint on the hit ITV2 show back in 2018. He returned to the show in 2022 as a ‘bombshell’. He also appeared on Celebs Go Dating before finding love with Woods.
In Collard’s Instagram post the happy couple were seen in snaps with Leo, who also met their dog, Lu, and members of their family.
