The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger revealed she had to make a dash to a private hospital with her young daughter as she battled a painful infection as 2024 came to a close
Lauren Goodger was forced to rush her daughter to hospital with a medical emergency hours before she settled down to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
The 38-year-old The Only Way Is Essex star is proud mum to three-year-old daughter Larose – who she shares with builder ex-boyfriend Charles Drury. On Tuesday, Lauren revealed that she had been forced to rush her young daughter to get medical attention after she fell ill with a painful infection.
Taking to Instagram Stories on the final day of the year, the reality star shared a photograph of the huge television that she has in her living room and revealed the drama that had unfolded hours earlier as she prepared to see in 2025. Initially noting that she has been avoiding alcohol all festive season, Lauren wrote in an accompanying caption: “NYE looking like this… which it does every year. I don’t drink on NYE haven’t for years… but this is my 2nd year completely sober Xmas and NY.”
Sharing details of her daughter’s health dash, she continued: “My little love got tonsillitis so we been up private hospital yesterday and today is chill day cuddles and some good food. Wouldn’t want it any other way.” While Larose did not feature in the post itself, it seemed they were curled up together as the TV screen showed a children’s entertainment show on display.
Earlier in the week she had shared how she spent Christmas with her daughter. On her Instagram Stories, Lauren first revealed how they’d spent Christmas Eve, uploading a photo of Larose snuggling up on the sofa. “Snacks & Christmas films & matching pjs,” she wrote alongside the adorable snap. She then shared a clip off her opulent white Christmas tree which had piles of prink presents under it. She shared that she’d spent plenty of time and cash on picking them out.
“One very happy baby girl in the morning!!,” she admitted. “Been buying since Nov, and she had 2 big ones already as she found them,” the Celebrity Big Brother star wrote with a laughing emoji. “I’m a very proud mummy, I’ve done all I can to make 2024 the most magical ever Christmas.”
