Liam Gallagher has big plans for his north London mansion and despite his boozy days being behind him, the former Oasis frontman even has a room just for alcohol

Liam Gallagher’s mega makeover of his London mansion will boast a massive swimming pool if he gets his wish – and already has a tribute to Elvis Presley.

The rock legend hasn’t had things all his own way since getting the keys to his pad in trendy Highgate in 2019. The big revamp hit a snag with his neighbours over plans to install the pool and beef up security, but he is determined to make his swanky property the best in the area.

He has owned it for five years and it’s not his only big-money home. In March 2023, Liam paid around £4million for the six-bedroom French Chateau after Deal or No Deal presenter Noel Edmunds put the 18th-century property on the market. The star uses the villa in Grasse, near Cannes, for family holidays

He’s got some work on closer to home and the Oasis star let slip having a huge picture of the legendary US singer on his wall when he attached some photos to his planning application. He got the ball rolling to build a swimming pool and a bigger security fence, and fans got to see for themselves some of the features – including a huge outdoor pizza oven.

His plans for a home bar at the mock Tudor mansion were pushed through earlier this year. However, the Highgate Society aren’t at all happy, slamming the latest proposal as setting “create a most unfortunate precedent”. A report by The Sun reveals concerns from the society that the construction could be “seriously affected by any groundwater diversion”.

Liam snapped up the pad back before the pandemic, giving him and his manager-turned-fiancee Debbie Gwyther plenty of space for social shindigs. Not only does Liam want a pool, but he’s also after a six-foot-high hedge around his 19th-century gaff to keep the nosy parkers at bay. Plans also include expanding an already present sunken patio

But he will have a flash room for booze, even if he prefers a soft drink these days. The clean-living singer recently said: “You’ve got to undo all the bad work you’ve done through f***ing getting off your head and all that. It’s time to undo it all now and get back to reality. All that stuff that you thought was cool in the early days, it’s time to get healthy.”

The planning application reads “An air source heat pump has been proposed to meet the heating requirements of the proposed swimming pool. This essential component is designed to efficiently regulate the pool’s temperature while minimising environmental impact, with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint associated with pool heating and avoiding the use of gas.”
