Lily Allen claimed a British rapper slid into her DMs as she played a question game with podcast co-host and pal Miquita Oliver
Lily Allen has claimed a famous rapper private messaged her amid her split from husband David Harbour.
The songstress, 39, was chatting to her podcast co-host Miquita Oliver. In their talk, the pair were asked which of them would be most likely to be contacted by a celebrity. Miquita immediately said: “It’s Lily.”
Lily agreed with the answer and quickly replied: “It happens all the time,” before sharing a story about a musician dropping her a message. The mum-of-two then claimed British rapper Central Cee had sent her a note asking: “Where you at?”
Lily explained she told him: “‘I’m in the departures lounge at Heathrow Airport. Next time, sorry.'”
When Miquita then asked: “What do you think he was looking for? Companionship?,” she jokingly replied with a vulgar comment of a sexual nature.
Lily, who has two children, Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11, who she shares with ex Sam Cooper, split with husband David last year. The pair had been wed for four years. Following the announcement, Lily admitted she was going to have a rest from the podcast. Signing out, she said to co-host Miquita, 40, at the end of the episode: “I’ll see you on the other side. Hopefully I’ll be in a better place.”
It was reported she had checked into a trauma clinic in the US after her split with the Stranger Things star, 49. A source told the Mail earlier this month: “She will spend several weeks at the residential retreat in the US where she is expected to take part in intensive group counselling sessions and one-on-one therapy in which she will be urged to ‘unpack’ her emotions.”
Another source said: “Everyone thinks David is the steady one and Lily is the crazy head-case. But the reality is that Lily was calmer and more grounded than she’s ever been – until she discovered that her marriage was unexpectedly over. She is taking the responsible course of action with a trip to a retreat to get her head straight.”
While not directly commenting on her split, The Smile singer recently said she is ‘not in a good place’ and having panic attacks that are impacting her life. She worryingly added that the situation was ‘spiralling’.
