Liverpool’s three stars with expiring contracts are appearing in the club’s official calendar for 2025 but all in the opening months before their Anfield deals run out

Liverpool have included Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk in their official calendar for 2025.

But all three appear only in the opening four months of the year as doubts grow around their futures at Anfield.

The trio are out of contract in June with no clear sign of new deals being agreed with the club amid intense speculation linking them with moves elsewhere.

Alexander-Arnold, who features in February, is continuously being talked up as an option for Real Madrid, where he would link up with close friend Jude Bellingham at the Santiago Bernabeu. Salah, meanwhile, appears in March and remains the focus of keen interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

And captain Van Dijk is April’s image and has been coy on several occasions around his future – while stressing his intention to give everything he can for Liverpool in the short-term.

“I’m feeling very good, physically and mentally,” Van Dijk said last month. “I’m in a good place and yeah nothing more can be said, I just want to keep enjoying the game.”

Alisson Becker, the injured goalkeeper who has been linked with a transfer away by some pundits in recent weeks, also appears in January of the calendar and there is no place for his impressive deputy Caoimhin Kelleher.

Federico Chiesa, who has struggled to break into the starting XI since arriving in the summer and is the subject of transfer chatter at home in Italy, appears in June. Meanwhile, Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram has been lined up as a potential arrival next summer depending on outgoings.

Arne Slot ’s team return to action with a trip to Southampton on Sunday afternoon holding a five point lead on top of the Premier League, ahead of reigning champions Manchester City.

The Reds also sit top of the bloated Champions League league phase with a visit of Real Madrid to Anfield coming next week.
