Spellow Lane in Everton, Liverpool, has been cordoned off with a major police presence after reports of a “serious incident” possibly involving a block of flats on the street
A main road has been cordoned off by police following a “serious incident” this evening in Liverpool.
Emergency services were called to Spellow Lane in Everton on Tuesday evening and there are now several police cars and vans at the scene.
Spellow Lane is currently blocked off and a cordon is in place near to the junction with Goodison Road. A police officer at the scene said it was a “serious incident” but could not give further details at this stage.
Officers appear to be standing outside a block of flats on the road. Merseyside Police has been contacted for comment.
Photos show the police scene near to Goodison Park in Everton this evening. Residents have also been standing in the street questioning police about what has happened.
