Milos Kerkez has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in January, with the Bournemouth star having caught the eye as Andy Robertson struggles for Arne Slot’s Reds

Liverpool’s season is steaming ahead, with the Reds top of the Premier League and Champions League tables.

But Saturday’s thrilling draw against Fulham also exposed a key position that needs an upgrade. Andy Robertson was sent off in the first-half, as the Scot continues to struggle this season.

It appears Arne Slot is looking for an upgrade at left-back, with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez heavily linked with a move to Anfield. And the Hungarian international has now broken his silence on his future.

Elsewhere, the Reds have also been urrged to make a move for West Ham star Jarrod Bowen. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Liverpool transfer news.

Kelleher urged to make exit

Liverpool back-up keeper Caoimhin Kelleher has been urged to leave Anfield in January. Republic of Ireland boss Heimir Hallgrimsson believes Kelleher needs to find a new club after losing his starting spot at the Reds to Alisson.

“I will answer this question the same way whoever it is; as a national team coach, you would always like to see your players playing. We would like our players to play. [It’s] the same with Caoimhin,” Hallgrimsson said.

“We don’t know if he’s going to play games for Liverpool even though he’s done brilliantly. Should he go and try to play somewhere else? It applies to everyone. For a national team coach, of course you would like your players to be playing all the time.”

Reds urged to sign Bowen

Liverpool have been urged to make a move for West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen. The England international has starred for the Hammers, helping them to win the Europa Conference League in 2023.

Bowen was previously linked with a transfer to Anfield back when Jurgen Klopp was Liverpool boss. And former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood has insisted they should resurrect their interest.

Sherwood told Sky’s Soccer Saturday programme: “He’s a Liverpool player by the way, Jarrod Bowen. West Ham ain’t keeping hold of him, are they? What a player that kid is.”

Kerkez breaks silence on future

Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez has broken his silence on his future amid links with a move to Liverpool. The left-back has impressed since arriving at the Cherries from AZ Alkmaar in July 2023.

With Andy Robertson struggling for form, Kerkez has been floated as a possible replacement. And the 21-year-old has now insisted he is capable of performing at the top level as Liverpool weigh up a January move for him.

He told The Guardian : “I believe I can make it at the top level of football… then I can build an even bigger lake. We are pushing but we’re not even halfway through the season and in the Premier League everything can change in two games.”
