Embark on a festive adventure and indulge in a Christmas party lunch with a twist

London is brimming with spots to revel in the holiday spirit, but one river cruise is blending a classic Christmas dinner with live music and an abundance of yuletide cheer. The London Thames Christmas Lunch Party Cruise provides the ideal daytime festive gathering for friends, colleagues, and family.

Offering a more unique experience than your typical pub lunch or office party, this Christmas Lunch Cruise has limited dates between now and December 20. For just £70 per person (or less for groups of 10 or more), you and your mates could enjoy a bubbly drink, listening to live tunes while watching the city pass by, all before the workday concludes.

Guests can savour a delightfully festive experience with a welcome glass of sparkling wine, followed by a traditional three-course lunch packed with Christmas classics. Unlimited tea or coffee is on offer to keep everyone snug and warm regardless of the weather.

Additionally, a fully stocked bar is available where guests can enjoy a tipple (or two, or three) while they soak up the city views, reports MyLondon. The festive spirit is set to soar as live music serenades diners indulging in an early Christmas dinner and afternoon drinks.

Setting sail from Westminster Pier at Victoria Embankment, the three-hour journey aboard the cruise offers breathtaking views of some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks. That includes the London Eye, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, The Shard, HMS Belfast, St.Paul’s Cathedral, and the Houses of Parliament.

Prices for the London Thames Christmas Lunch Party start at £70 per person. Discounts are available for larger groups, including a 10% saving for bookings of tables of 10 or more.

City Cruises has earned a solid 4.3 out of 5-star rating from passengers who’ve previously enjoyed their voyages. Patrick Poon, although not having sampled the Christmas lunch cruise specifically, expressed his enjoyment of a City Experience boat trip: “What a wonderful cruise journey on the Thames. The mobile kitchen brought fresh and hot food to the table with great service. The entertainer had a great voice. The upper deck had a view of the London Bridge up close.”

Sussan Gibbons, who opted for an evening dinner package, shared her glowing review: “I went on the evening dinner cruise with the VIP package, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food. The Views. The lights. The history. The singer. Highly recommended.” Marks Ells, another satisfied customer, stated: “Our favourite way to see London! Great food and music too on the Dinner Cruise.”

However, one Tripadvisor user shared their City Cruises experience with a lukewarm three-star review: “Disappointing compared to a dinner cruise we did in Paris. While the meal was good and the staff was attentive, there was no focus on the city or landmarks.”

Other great river cruises to jump onboard during the festive season include a Murder Mystery Three Course Dinner Cruise on the River Thames for £196 per couple with Buyagift.com, as well as the £68 Evening Thames Cruise for Two with Bubbly and Canapes available through Virgin Experience Days.
