Former Love Island star Biggs Chris has said that he slept with someone else whilst in a relationship with his now ex-partner Rebecca Gormley. He confessed to cheating on her whilst filming Netflix show Cheat: Unfinished Business.

The reality TV show, which was released on the streaming platform today, sees “former cheaters reconnect with their exes”. They confront each other at a retreat with the help of relationship coach Paul C Brunson, whilst presenter Amanda Holden acts as the host of the nine-part series. It was previously announced that Biggs, 32, and Rebecca, 27 – who met on Love Island in 2020 – are among the exes on the show.

They began a romance after their time in the villa together five years ago. Rebecca then announced the following year that they were no longer together. A year later in 2022, in an interview on Stand Out TV, Biggs suggested that he had cheated in all of his past relationships.

Biggs was seen confessing to having cheated on Rebecca in the first episode of Cheat: Unfinished Business. Moments into it, he said in a confessional: “We’re here at the retreat to hopefully rekindle, but Rebecca doesn’t know I cheated on her. So for us to move forward, I have to come clean.”

Then, whilst among the other couples, he told her: “Before we move forward, I need to tell you something. I did mess up.” Rebecca asked if he wanted to “elaborate,” before sharing that her heart was “pounding”. Biggs then said in the scene: “I cheated towards the end of the relationship.”

Rebecca said that it was a “major shock,” adding: “I never had you down as a liar.” The reality TV star, who shared that she’d heard allegations of infidelity, admitted in another scene: “I was so in love with him to the point that I just kind of believed what he said.”

During the first episode, after Biggs confessed in front of Rebecca and the other couples, host Amanda said: “Biggs, well done for giving clarity and being honest.” She then said to his ex in the scene: “Rebecca, thank you for listening.”

In a confessional, Rebecca said: “There were always allegations with us that he had cheated, which I just brushed them under the carpet. I came to this retreat to try and fix things, and then he turned around to me and said ‘yeah, it’s all true’. The boy I used to be with for nearly two years, isn’t the boy that I knew. It’s hurtful finding out something like that.”

Later in the episode, in a conversation with Rebecca, Biggs told her: “Towards the end of the relationship I slept with someone.” He later added: “I f***ed up. I don’t know why I did it.”

Rebecca said that the news made her “feel violently sick”. She told her ex: “You’re just painted out to be the nice boy when, like, I just … I think it’s all an act.” Biggs responded: “No, it’s … no, it’s not.”

In the same scene, Rebecca spoke about the end of their relationship – which she had suggested at the time was the “best thing” for them. She told her ex partner on the show that she had thought they had a “perfect relationship”.

She told Biggs: “I genuinely thought what people would call a perfect relationship, that’s what I thought ours’ was. The only reason why it ended is because I was unhappy in myself. Not because I was unhappy with you.” She added: “So I was protecting myself and protecting you.” Biggs said: “I know. I know that.”

Cheat: Unfinished Business is available on Netflix now.
