A luxury advent calendar stuffed with jewellery has gone on sale for a whopping £21,995. But, splashing out on this in the lead-up to December 25 will take buyers almost four Christmases to pay off.
The lavish calendar, from jewellers C W Sellors, is available on finance at £460.29 a month, meaning shoppers would still be forking out well into 2028. Modelled on Chatsworth House, it has 24 doors hiding a haul of festive sparkle.
Inside are treats including a sterling silver snowflake pendant and earrings, a gold-plated reindeer set, a December birthstone tanzanite pendant, Derbyshire Blue John studs, a Fabergé candle, a diffuser, dry gin, and even an 18ct pearl necklet. Other gems include a gold diamond heart pendant and a Whitby jet four-leaf clover bracelet, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The contents would normally set you back £25,515, so buyers technically save £3,520 by having these items come in the form of a calendar. But if you want one, you’ll have to be quick, as there’s just one left in stock.
The calendar’s description reads: “We are delighted to present our luxury advent calendar and it is the perfect gift for any jewellery lover. The unique box, styled as an exquisitely detailed miniature Chatsworth House, opens to reveal 24 jewellery drawers containing jewellery and gifts hand selected by our very own Rebecca Sellors.”
Described as being “not just for Christmas”, the box has a second potential purpose once you pack away your festive decorations. C W Sellors claim it will “make the most beautiful jewellery box” and become “a year-round adornment to your dressing table.”
