Manchester United are set for a busy end to the January transfer window, with a number of potential incomings and outgoings expected at Old Trafford this month

Marcus Rashford linked with AC Milan transfer

Manchester United are looking to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window, but they need to sort some outgoings before they can make new signings.

Marcus Rashford is expected to leave this month amid interest from the likes of AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus and several other players are also said to be closing in on departures.

New boss Ruben Amorim is still getting his feet under the table, but reinforcements are clearly needed if he is to get United back towards the top of the Premier League. Here, Mirror Football takes a look at some of the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.

Man Utd want Gittens

The Red Devils are one of several clubs who are ‘seriously interested’ in signing Jamie Gittens, according to Sky Germany.

The report states that Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also eyeing a move for the Borussia Dortmund star. Gittens has impressed for Dortmund this season, netting 11 goals and providing five assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.

It is claimed that the 20-year-old is ‘highly likely’ to leave Dortmund if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. They currently sit tenth in the Bundesliga and are seven points off the top four.

Betis want Antony

According to the Athletic, United are in talks with Real Betis over a loan move for winger Antony.

Antony has struggled since joining United for £84m back in 2022 and he is yet to make a league start under Amorim. The report states that several clubs are interested in the Brazilian, but Betis are the ‘most advanced at this stage’.

Betis are keen to strengthen out wide following the sale of Assane Diao to Como and United are hopeful that offloading part of Antony’s salary for the remainder of the season will allow them to bring in reinforcements.

Malacia set for exit

Tyrell Malacia is also closing in on a move away from Old Trafford, with Dutch outlet Voetball International reporting that he is set to leave on loan.

Malacia has struggled with injuries since joining the club from Feyenoord in 2022, with a serious knee problem sidelining him for almost 18 months. The left-back returned to action in November and now looks set for a loan move.

It is claimed that Malacia is close to reaching an agreement to join an unnamed club in one of Europe’s top leagues, with Amorim approving his exit.
