Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is keen for signings in January amid links with Nuno Mendes, while Marcus Rashford and Antony could potentially be on the way out of Old Trafford

The January transfer window is already in full swing but the next few weeks could be very busy for Manchester United.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has put the majority of the Red Devils squad up for sale, which could lead to a few exits. That could include Marcus Rashford, who has already expressed a desire to leave.

Any sales could alleviate the club’s PSR concerns and thus lead to more signings. A whole host of names have already been linked.

Understandably, boss Ruben Amorim is keen for additions as he tries to get the club back on track. Take a look at the latest transfer news and rumours from Old Trafford:

Nuno Mendes ‘wants’ switch

Paris Saint-Germain defender Nuno Mendes is keen for a move to Manchester United with his future in the French capital in major doubt. According to Foot Mercato, the Portuguese left-back is concerned over his contract.

He has just 18 months left on his current deal and is not totally satisfied with his salary. He is ‘very keen’ on a reunion with his former Sporting Lisbon head coach Amorim.

Mendes, still just 22, made 47 appearances under his compatriot ahead of a move to the French capital. He joined PSG initially on loan before a permanent switch a year later.

Rashford in AC Milan talks

Italian side AC Milan are holding talks in an effort to sign Marcus Rashford in January. The striker’s future at Old Trafford remains up in the air.

Dwaine Maynard, Rashford’s brother and agent, reportedly flew to Milan on Tuesday to hold discussions with those who head the recruitment at the Serie A side.

Milan’s senior executive team had previously returned from Riyadh after claiming the Italian Super Cup against fierce rivals Inter Milan. Rashford, 27, has three-and-a-half years left on his United deal.

Antony turns down move

While Rashford could be primed for the exit door, the same could certainly be said of Brazilian winger Antony. United have long accepted that they would have to cut their losses on the Brazilian.

As per, ABC Sevilla, Real Betis, Olympiacos and Benfica are all interested. The ex-Ajax man has already rejected a move to the Greek side but a switch to Spain remains a possibility.

It is suggested that Betis’ sale of Assane Diao’s to Como has opened up funds, while they are hoping to convince the winger to move to Spain. Meanwhile, they are also willing to negotiate a sell-on fee for United after a loan move.
