Haircuts can be enough to dramatically alter a person’s appearance. But when it’s your first trip to the barber – expect big things to happen and that’s what one man recently experienced…

With the festive period right around the corner, it can be normal to think of a huge pamper session ahead of Christmas.

It could be in the form of getting your nails done or even opting for a new hairstyle. Now one man has left TikTok viewers utterly astounded after taking his first trip to the barbers – and he even looks 10 years younger.

Posting on the video-sharing platform, Richmond Barber, who boasts 1.6million followers, is known for his incredible transformations where he operates in the Virginia state of the US. Recently, he welcomed a customer who’s never been to the barbers before.

In fact, the man revealed he’s been getting his wife to cut his hair for the past few years. During the conversation, he found out his client was due to celebrate his 40th birthday in February. The man said: “Trying to clear this air strip right here.”

He added: “My wife found this appointment and we snagged it as quick as we could. Been trying to get an appointment and one freed up and we smashed that button as fast as we could. I’ve never been to a barber, my wife does my hair.

“I usually gel this up but when it’s not, it looks like the Donald Trump flip. I’m going to let you work your magic. I’m thinking of a textured fringe.” After the barber agreed a textured fringe would suit him, he finally got to work.

Then moments later, the man is sporting a completely different look – which was so good it even knocked 10 years off his appearance. Reacting to the haircut, the man said: “Oh I love it man. On point, that’s exactly what I wanted man.”

He continued: “It was more than worth it, I’ll be back again.” Since the video was shared, it quickly racked up 36,400 likes and nearly 200 comments from followers who also were impressed.

One said: “Really did take 10 years off him, wow.” Another added: “He took a decade off.” Then a third chimed in: “Damn he looks so different, that’s great.” And a fourth cheekily remarked: “He’s definitely going to get it when he gets home.”
