South Yorkshire Police have released an e-fit of a man they wish to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted while running, with the man hurling ‘sexualised’ comments in her direction
Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to after a female jogger was followed while running before the suspect made “sexualised” comments towards her.
The woman was running in the Crookes area of Sheffield at around 6.45pm on Thursday, June 5 when she noticed she was being followed by a man. According to South Yorkshire Police, the victim heard the man shout “sexualised” comments in her direction.
Detectives have now released an e-fit image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the sexual assault. The man is described as Black, in his late 20s to early 30s, of a medium build, around 5ft 7ins tall and with short black hair.
He is pictured wearing dark clothing, reports Yorkshire Live.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers investigating a sexual assault in Sheffield have released an e-fit image of a man they would like to identify. It is reported that around 6.45pm on Thursday, June 5, a woman was followed by a man as she ran along Crookes Valley Road. This man then allegedly made sexualised comments towards her.
“Following a number of extensive enquiries, we are now keen to identify the man depicted in this e-fit image as officers feel he may be able to assist with our ongoing investigation. He is described as Black, in his late 20s to early 30s, of a medium build, around 5ft 7ins tall and with short black hair. He is pictured wearing dark clothing.
