Mark Wright and his pregnant wife Michelle Keegan enjoyed a lunchtime date together, days after it was revealed the pair’s lavish Essex mansion had been broken into
TV couple Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have smiled together for a happy photograph – days after their Essex mansion was broken into.
The couple, who are expecting their first child together, were forced to hide in a bedroom earlier this week as four masked men forced entry into their home on Tuesday night. The 37-year-old Brassic star and her reality TV star husband, 38, is said to have heard their porch window smash before their alarm system went off at their lavish pad. It has been reported four suspects were in the home for close to a minute before rushing out when they heard Mark yelling.
Authorities were then alerted via the couple’s security system. The couple were relieved for their safety and that nothing was stolen from their £3.5million mansion, but were reportedly “very shaken up” by the incident – which saw the suspects fleeing in a getaway car.
But, the resilient couple appear to be putting the terrifying incident behind them as they smiled and posed together in a photo shared on Mark’s Instagram story. In the image, Michelle is glowing as she wears a crisp white shirt while sitting next to her husband. She has her brunette locks tied back and let her natural beauty do all the talking as she wore minimal makeup.
Meanwhile, Mark put on a casual appearance as he sported a beige Gucci hoodie and clutched onto a pint of Guinness while looking at the camera and flashing a smile. The couple are sat on a padded seat in front of a marble dining table.
“Lovely lunch at @Wheastrunton,” Mark penned as he posted the snap on his Instagram story, revealing to fans he and wife Michelle were at the White Horse East Runton pub in Norfolk.
Mark then posted a photo of a delicious cocktail before showing off the meal he enjoyed at the bar and restaurant, which comprised of steak, truffle fries and a pizza.
It comes after a spokesman for Essex police said earlier this week the investigation into the burglary was ongoing.
He explained: “It was reported four suspects had forced entry to an address, carrying out a search of the property before fleeing. Within eight minutes, our officers were on the scene. We are continuing to support and safeguard the victims and are conducting high-visibility patrols in the area.
“We are exploring a number of lines of inquiry including but not limited to forensic opportunities, CCTV and witness statements. Anyone with information should contact us as soon as possible.”
Speaking about the raid, a source told The Sun: “It was a traumatic experience for both of them but they are relieved that neither of them were injured. Mark did the sensible thing and stayed with his wife to make sure she was OK and they waited for police to arrive before leaving the room.”
