Evelina Bledans, a singer, actress and presenter in Russia said she believed it was her duty as a mother to hire a sex worker for her son Semyon, in order to provide a proper sexual education

A TV celebrity has sparked outrage after she announced she plans to hire a prostitute for her 12-year-old son with Down syndrome when he is old enough to have his first sexual experience.

Evelina Bledans, a singer, actress and presenter in Russia said she believed it was her duty as a mother to hire a sex worker for her son Semyon, in order to provide a proper sexual education.

The boy only turned 12 in April and Evelina, 55, admits that she is afraid of what he will be like when he enters puberty. She revealed that she is working with a sexologist to help deliver the ‘birds and bees’ speech and prepare her son for the adult world.

She said she wanted to hire an escort for him so that Semyon’s first intimate experience would be with an experienced woman. The actress stated: “He has many female friends his age, and he loves all my friends.

“He kisses everyone’s hands and adores being in female company. I think I’ll just bring him a woman who will take care of everything; I’ll pay her for it. A mother should help.

“A child might have a bad first sexual experience and think it’s normal. He should have a beautiful experience with a professional.”

Evelina has already courted controversy after a backlash from online fans when she posted a video giving her son a sloppy kiss on the lips, with many calling the act inappropriate.

The two were standing in matching bathrobes apparently readying for bed when Semyon turned to his mum, grabbing her face with his hands and the two exchanged a lengthy smooch.

Bledans herself commented on the situation and admitted that she did not see anything wrong with kissing her son on the mouth. According to the star, there is nothing supernatural or dangerous in the video she shared.

Evelina said: “It was not a passionate kiss. If a child presses his lips to your lips, as if he is about to squeeze your teeth out, you cannot push him away. Right? And there is nothing so terrible about it.”

She also noted that she rarely kisses her son on the lips. But when the video was being recorded, it so happened that the boy had a burst of tenderness.

She added: “And, naturally, you can’t push the child away at that moment, because you can cause him serious psychological trauma. And I think the fact that a son loves his mother so much is wonderful.”

Evelina, who has another son called Nicolai, gave birth to her younger son in 2012 at the age of 43. Doctors had told her the boy would have special needs while she was still pregnant but she said she was undeterred by the challenging diagnosis.

She divorced her then-husband, film director Alexander Semin, after five years of marriage and has been raising their child on her own.
