Manchester is buzzing with anticipation as Oasis prepares to return to their home city for a series of monumental gigs. Liam and Noel Gallagher are set to perform five shows at Heaton Park over the next fortnight as part of Oasis Live ’25.

The band, which includes Bonehead, Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Joey Waronker, took to the stage for the first time in 16 years last weekend, launching their tour in Cardiff. The Britpop icons played two sold-out gigs at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium to rapturous applause.

From the opening notes of Hello to the iconic lyrics of Champagne Supernova, fans who flocked to the Welsh capital were treated to a mix of the band’s biggest hits, along with some heartfelt tributes and poignant moments during the Friday and Saturday night performances.

The announcement of Oasis’s reunion last August sparked a ticket frenzy, with ten million people vying for a chance to attend what is set to be some of the most significant concerts in recent memory.

In addition to their Manchester dates – on 11th, 12th, 16th, 19th, and 20th of July – the Gallagher brothers and their band will also perform a series of gigs in London, Edinburgh and Dublin before jetting off to play shows across North and South America, Asia and Australia.

An impressive 1.3 million music tourists are predicted to descend on Manchester this summer, making it an unmissable season of live music in the city, featuring performances from some of the world’s biggest artists, including Oasis.

As the band gears up for five massive gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park, all eyes are on the city, which is bustling with preparations for the Gallagher’s arrival.

A plethora of guitar-themed artworks and exhibitions have also taken over the city’s streets, squares, shop windows and other venues.

Manchester’s Central Library is hosting a week-long series of Oasis-themed activities. It’s here that the first official merchandise stand for the shows has been set up and opened to the public today (July 8), showcasing items in worker bee yellow, along with the dates for the Manchester shows.

Fans can get their hands on a variety of merchandise, including jackets, shirts, tote bags and hoodies. Photos of the merch stand reveal a selection of different T-shirt styles as well as Oasis logos in an array of blue and yellow prints.
