People have been left scratching their heads over a baffling brainteaser aimed to reveal how many Brits have a ‘top-level IQ’ – so can you figure it out without stressing yourself out?

It’s important to keep the mind active throughout the day – and there’s no better way to achieve this than by tackling a baffling brainteaser.

These type of puzzles have been proven to not only improve memory but enhance your problem-solving skills. To put your mind to the test, TikTok channel Online Training 4 Everyone released an ‘IQ test question’ aimed to reveal how many Brits have a ‘top-level IQ’. Participants have been tasked with figuring out the fourth card in the sequence – providing three possible options labeled A, B, C, and D.

The video says: “Which of the following comes next in the sequence? You are presented with a sequence of five squares and square number four is missing. You also have four different choices to answer this question. Do you think you know the answer?” Sharing their answers, one user said: “A? Because it introduces a new pattern?” Another user added: “A is the answer. All triangles are pointing to the corners in all squares.”

However, others believe the answer is B – with one saying: “B because the closest blue and green arrows point together.” Another user agreed: “Letter B, because the first two patterns are pointing on an opposite side and the last pattern is pointing both on the same side. So the answer is B.”

Before revealing the answer, the TikTok added: “Here are some tips for you to help solve this question. Consider that there are multiple patterns in this question. Tip: think of this not as a sequence but a symmetrical pattern. See if you can come up with the right answer for this tricky question.”

Sharing what he claims to be the correct answer, a final user said: “I choose B answer due to the fact that it matches with the sequence pattern. The middle square is the combination of the 2 first squares (plus the purple symbols). The squares on the edges are blue and the second square (on the opposite side) is green, so, the missing square must be green.

“About the two first squares: the geometric shapes inside are the same and they are in the same position in the square, just flipping horizontally. So, if you flip a copy of the last square horizontally and change its colour to green, you will get the answer B.”
