Primark is stocking a pair of shoes that bear a striking resemblance to a designer alternative. Known for its affordable fashion and homeware, the high street giant may have just introduced a new crowd-pleaser.
The retailer’s Buckle Slingback Ballerina Flats look similar to a style by high end brand rag & bone, but at a fraction of the cost. Shoppers can snag the Primark version for £16, while the Astra Leather Slingbacks carry a price tag of £290 online.
Both pairs of shoes share similar designs, with a leather-look finish and a buckle strap across the top. They also both have silver-tone hardware and a small heel. However, the Primark shoes feature a more pointed toe and are faux leather, while the rag & bone version are real leather.

The description for rag & bone’s Astra Leather Slingbacks reads: “This flat style retains its quintessential tapered square toe, but is secured with a slingback and a custom Mary Jane strap all in supple leather.”
The designer Astra Leather Slingbacks carry a price tag of £290, while the Primark equivalent is on offer for just £16, presenting shoppers with a potential saving of approximately £274 if they go for the high street substitute.
