A bizarre optical illusion is said to give an insight into your personality, depending on what you see.
A clip that has gone viral on TikTok asked viewers if they could see a fish, dragonfly, lake, or eye first. Each answer, it is said, reveals a key part of your personality according to the AI voiceover on the video by user @picpsy. “First, seeing a fish, you are loyal and empathetic and people enjoy being around you,” the voiceover said. People who see a fish are said to be very private, only trusting a few people and rarely revealing too much to others if they can help it.
For these people, the voiceover says their “biggest weakness” is a “reluctance to make decisions” and that “indecisiveness has caused you to miss many opportunities.” It continues: “You’re easily influenced by others so it’s essential to understand what you want out of life and learn to make decisions for yourself.”
Those who spotted the dragonfly first are said to be “balanced and composed individuals”. The AI presenter on the video said: “However, you have a flaw. You don’t know how to interact with certain people and prefer solitude. You are a relaxed and calm person, avoiding confrontations.”
These people, the video suggests, would sacrifice themselves for others even if it meant experiencing something detrimental to them. It adds: “You must believe in yourself. Learn to forge relationships and many new opportunities will come.” People who viewed the image and saw the lake first are “intelligent and dynamic” and can “find solutions to any problem and aren’t afraid of challenges”.
One of their pitfalls could be their “frankness” and struggling to control emotions, meaning they can upset the people close to them. People who saw an eye first are supposedly “creative and intelligent”, but can become tired of other people. The text says: “You’re a creative soul. You’re the type to trust your intuition and not over analyse situations. You have unique talents and are always searching for something new.”
The above should of course be taken with a pinch of salt. The scientific research to suggest that images like this really reveal a person’s personality is thin at best. In reality, what a person sees first in the image is not as likely to reveal anything about a person’s traits more than how they react to daily life.
