Peter Andre has shared a heartbreaking message as he said he would ‘give everything up’ to have his parents back in full health despite him reaching a milestone next month

Former popstar Peter Andre has opened up sadly in his latest OK! column about his elderly parents’ declining health ahead of his birthday next month.

Dad-of-five Peter has recently returned from visiting his beloved mum and dad Down Under amid their ongoing health battles. Back in 2023, the star revealed that his 88-year-old mother, Thea, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s . Thea lives in Australia with Peter’s father, Savvas, as she faces her declining health.

In his exclusive column he admitted how he is feeling grateful – despite what his beloeved mother is going through. “It’s my birthday next month so I’ve naturally been thinking about life,” he says. “I’m so grateful for so many things; my family, my health, my friends. I think life is all about balance now – I love my food, including very healthy and “junk” foods, but also my exercise.”

“I’m really excited for what the next year will bring me. I’m very blessed in so many ways. The only thing is my parents – I would give everything else up 100 fold just to have them in full health and back to their youth, but, unfortunately, life isn’t like that.”

Just last week, Peter shared a late night tear-jerking post about missing his beloved elderly parents who live in Australia.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 51, took to Instagram on Thursday night to share some sentimental words about missing those close to you as he urged his followers to pick up the phone and give someone they love and miss a phone-call.

Although Peter – who shares Theo, Amelia, 10, and baby girl Arabella with his wife Emily, as well as Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with his ex Katie Price – has just travelled back from his home place of Queensland, he is still missing his elderly parents after being blessed with spending time with this month.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, the former I’m A Celebrity …Get Me Out Of Here! star shared a sweet video of Thea and Savvas from his recent trip back home. Alongside the pictures, Peter penned: “It’s late here in the uk. I’ve just finished on stage. But I just can’t stop thinking about my parents.

“I’m having a moment. Sorry. Just got off the phone with them and looked back at the pics from a few weeks ago. Please call someone you love and tell them as many times as you can just how much you do love them. Maybe do it tomorrow as it’s late now.”

It comes after Pete recently shared a heartbreaking update about his mother’s health. Speaking exclusively in his column, he said: “Being with my mum and dad in Australia was incredible, but understandably also very emotional. I went with my brother, Michael, and we got to spend quality time with my sister as well. The hardest bit for me is leaving them. Both Mum and Dad are on the decline, unfortunately, especially my mum.

“Every moment was incredible. Thank you to everyone for all the lovely messages I received when I was there. Even though I know it’s part of life, I can assure you it doesn’t make it any easier to deal with. I should be back there very soon for the premier of my upcoming film Jafaica, which will be amazing.”
