Phil Foden’s son, Ronnie, boasts a staggering net worth ahead of his dad’s opening match against Serbia in the Euros this evening.
The ‘super influencer’, who is only five, cheered on the Lions on Instagram today as he posed in his football kit, rallying fans with the caption: “C’mon England!” The eldest child of the England footballer, 23, and partner Rebecca Cooke, 22, has a talent manager, who bags brand collaborations for his account, which is managed by his parents.
It seems that Phil’s offspring has become something of an overnight social media sensation, gaining a whopping four million Instagram followers – and turning himself into a reported millionaire in just four months – all while he was still in reception class at school.
Ronnie became an unofficial mascot for the England team after fans flocked to adorable photos of him with his father on the pitch and a selfie with Man City star, Erling Haaland, in the dressing room.
He was also on Phil’s shoulders when Jack Grealish started a singalong to 90s banger Freed from Desire by Gala in a clip that was posted online.
Speaking about Ronnie’s rise to fame, doting dad, Phil, told Sky Sports News: “His personality has made him who he is. I think he went quite viral after [we] won the Champions League. He just reminds me of myself when I was a kid and he’s very funny.”
Instagram accounts with more than one million followers are considered ‘mega-influencers’ and can earn upwards of £10,000 per post for a collaboration, while big celebrity accounts can earn upwards of £1 million. Acknowledging his son’s stellar success, Phil continued: “I couldn’t believe it. Every comment on my social media page was asking to see him. So I thought I’d give the fans what they wanted and create an account for him and it just blew up.”
Through his parents, Ronnie has partnered with Propel Talent Group, a company that claims to manage “the careers of some of the UK’s most sought after talent.” While some of the posts on the five-year-old’s account are sweet snaps of him on the football pitch with his famous father, others are of the youngster on his own, posing up a storm in stylish outfits and chunky bling jewellery.
The account, which is verified on Instagram, shows Ronnie posing in photos with a number of brands tagged, including ethical clothing company Little Bird and Manchester-based shop The Couture Club. Proud parents Phil and Rebecca met at a party when they were both teenagers. Rebecca gave birth to their first child, Ronnie, in 2019 when she was 18. Their daughter True followed in 2021 and they are currently expecting their third child.
