One Day and Poldark actress Eleanor Tomlinson has given birth to her first child with athlete husband Will Owen as their famous pals rush to congratulate them
Eleanor Tomlinson has announced she has welcomed her first child with rugby player husband Will Owen.
The Poldark actress, 32, took to Instagram on Friday with an adorable photo of the newborn’s tiny hand holding her finger. One Day star Eleanor, who tied the knot with the athlete back in 2022, captioned the photo with a single red love heart emoji.
It wasn’t long before her famous friends flocked to the comments to share their love on her joyful baby news. Bridgerton and Derry Girls actress Nicola Coughlan wrote:” Congratulations Eleanor,” before Guardian’s Of The Galaxy’s Laura Haddock added: “My love.”
Meanwhile, Kimberley Nixon penned: “Congratulations! Hope you’re recovering ok xxx.” Another fan gushed: “Hi Momma. You are going to be the very best mother in the world. Congratulations gorgeous.”
Back in October, Eleanor shared her wonderful pregnancy news. At the time, she took to social media to share the happy news. The Poldark actress posted a photo of a baby vest with ‘baby Owen’ on the front of it. She added: “Can’t wait to meet you little one.”
Eleanor and Will tied the knot in July 2022 in an idyllic Cotswolds wedding. The pair shared their vows at Euridge Manor, in Chippenham, surrounded by rolling hills. Sharing images on social media at the time, Eleanor showed her and Will kissing to her fans, as she wore a stunning off the shoulder white dress which had a sweeping train.
Her hair was styled in a chic up do for the momentous occasion, while she kept her jewellery simple, donning a matching diamond earrings, necklace and bracelet set. In another image, Eleanor showed of the back of her gown in the black-and-white snap as she beamed with happiness while walking in the ground’s garden, holding her train.
Speaking of her big day in 2022, Eleanor explained the busy time she had trying to fit in her car. Speaking about her dress to Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Eleanor said: “There wasn’t even room for my dad to sit next to me in the car – he had to sit in the front! I have never felt so confident though.
“So happy. So loved. And so ready to walk down that aisle. The first dress I tried on was the one. I looked at my brother and he burst into tears and I just knew I’d found my dream dress and then some. I still tried on pretty much every other dress in the shop because why not? But I knew nothing could beat the dress I’d already found.”
The One Day star is part of a famous family with actor brother Ross and her singer mum, Judith Hibbert.
