Police hunting for a person accused of shooting dead a woman in a pub on Valentine’s Day have found a gun in a car on the Dartford Crossing.

A manhunt continues today after a woman in her forties died at the pub in Knockholt, Kent last night. Police said they rushed to the Three Horseshoes shortly around 7pm and found a woman in her 40s with gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed. In a new update on Saturday, police confirmed they had recovered an abandoned car connected to the incident on the Dartford Crossing with a firearm inside.

A statement from Kent Police this afternoon said: “Kent Police was called at 7.02pm on Friday 14 February 2025 to a report of a disturbance at the Three Horseshoes pub in Main Road, Knockholt. Officers attended the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service where a woman in her 40s had suffered injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. She was declared deceased at the scene and a murder investigation is underway. Her next of kin has been informed. As part of enquiries, officers attended the Dartford Crossing where a vehicle linked to the incident was recovered, alongside a firearm.”
