Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has been hit with another heartbreak just weeks after her home was raided by masked thieves as she admitted to having ‘misfortune after misfortune’
Charlotte Crosby has suffered another heartbreak after months of setbacks.
The former Geordie Shore star, 34, saw her home targeted by thieves and last week supported her dad after her nan was taken to hospital just days before Christmas. She has since shared the heartbreaking news of her grandma’s death, who died on Boxing Day. Charlotte, who is pregnant with her second child, penned an emotional tribute as she shared the sad news.
She wrote: “We lost an amazing woman last night, kind, wonderful and the most loving family member. Always incredibly proud of me and my achievements! And always the very first to boast about me. I will never forget how much she supported me so dearly! We will miss you so much, She loved little Alba so much!”
Alongside her tribute, Charlotte shared a photo holding her daughter Alba next to her nan. Charlotte’s dad Gary also shared his own tribute as he revealed today would have been his mother’s birthday. He penned: “My Mam would have been 80 today, she passed away last night.
“I’m swept away with grief and sadness. I was very close to my Mam, she was just the best Mam anyone could have. She loved Christmas and she made ours when we were kids so very special and memorable. A kind, generous and gentle little lady. A mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Also a true friend to many that she knew.
“She had problems in later life with terrible arthritis and challenging mental health, but she never lost her friendly smile and loving nature. Mam, you were so much more than everything.” Earlier this month, Charlotte’s dad shared a photo of his granddaughter Alba and issued an update on his mum, he wrote: ” Been struggling lately with my Mam in hospital poorly, but this little one makes me smile so much.”
Her fresh heartache comes after masked thieves broke into her home last month. Charlotte, who is currently nine months pregnant, was in the home with her two-year-old Alba. Her fiancée Jake Ankers opened up on the terrifying moment, as he said: “I can’t believe I’m saying this but some little c***s have tried to rob my house with my two-year-old and my partner who is nearly eight months pregnant, armed with a machete.”
He said he chased the four robbers out of the house but wasn’t able to catch them. Jake added: “One of them who was in the house at the top of the stairs had a red balaclava on. He is the one that had the machete. Me little girl’s in the house. Me partner’s in the house.”
Charlotte also spoke out on the scary incident as she said all her plans for Black Friday deals had been “crippled” after the break-in, which she admitted she is still struggling to come to terms with. She added had to go to hospital but reassured her fans that her baby is fine. Charlotte wrote: “[Two crying face emojis] Can’t believe all my plans for our huge Black Friday activation have been crippled! As I’m typing this I’m laid in hospital. Baby is all fine thank you for all the messages!
“But I was meant to be at work today! Getting the message out to you all about our HUGE Black Friday celebration! And showing you all the amazing deals we have on! This month has had misfortune after misfortune. I want to thank you all for your kind messages about the break-in the other night. Still something I’m really struggling to come to terms with.”
